Love the "butt pounder" 'Vettes!

Those C5 retros make me puke a little in my mouth.

Now in 993 land ...
|
And that's how it is done, not the other way around. Imagine putting a long hood body on a 996.
That is a terrible looking car - like others have said, the lines don't flow with the windshield being the worst. The car must also be very large. It looks like a C5 donning a early vette Halloween costume. ![]() George |

wouldn't that be the right way to spend that kinda dough?
take an original and restore it with modern mechanicals and a totally trick suspension. that would be something to be proud of.

Park Place Ltd. sells them in Bellevue. I've seen a few in person. They are ugly and awkward imho. The worst is the interior. Mid 90's GM parts bin Vette shiny plastic scary.

I think the president of the More Money Than Brains Club drives one of these. For that kind of cash, why not just get a REAL '62 Corvette that's been nicely restored? At least you'd have a true classic that would most likely continue to appreciate in value instead of just another dust collector to park next to your Zimmer or Excalibur.
Yes...Proteam is to Corvettes what Victory Motorcars is to Porsches. Hustlers who buy low, do a superficial clean-up, then sell for big bucks.

I agree that they are in the same class as Zimmers & Excalibers. Members of the "More Money Than Taste Club". White belt required...White shoes to match recommended...Must be at least 65-years-old & overweight...Pants pulled up very high...Drives a Caddie with white-walls & fake convertible top as a DD. Those people wouldn't buy a real '62 because they require too much attention, they are uncomfortable, the A/C doesn't work well, etc. They only want a car that they think makes them look cool. My 2 cents...To each their own, but I wouldn't pay $10 for one.
