Not to get too serious but I work in a non profit with people with that have many challenges in life. Having a healthy inquisitive kid is indeed a blessing.
On a lighter note, my conversations with my now 16 year old are primarily one way. How was your day? Fine How's school? Fine Whatcha doing later? Hangin out Things aren't that bad all the time. We're finding more things in common all of the time as he gets a bit older but that does describe many short conversations.
