Sorry if this is a re-post, but as predicted a 1957 Ferrari 250 TR broke the all-time auction record at today's Ferrari Leggenda auction.

Hard to believe in this economy that someone would pay so much for a car...incredible.

Yes and no...that GTO was a reported private sale, whereas this is the "most expensive motor car ever to be sold at auction," i.e. public sale.

Big, big difference.
