Is it too late to re-count the MVP votes?

Kobe comes through and carries the entire team, scores 41 on the road and wins game three almost single-handedly.

La-Bron who?

I love Kobe, but did you watch the Cavs last night?

Kobe is a talented player but I just can't like the guy no matter how much I try. There's a BIG difference between being confident in one's abilities and an arrogant jackass. Kobe is the latter. He constantly expects to have championships handed to him and the Lakers "just because". And even worse, he uses it as an excuse to play way below his abilities half the time. Honestly I think at his core the Lakers are a very lazy team and only work hard when they have to. They do not play at the level expected of a championship team all the time. They do it when they feel like it or when the other team doesn't just roll over for them. Gotta' hard time respecting that.

A champion brings UP the level of play in their opponents. This is not the case with the Lakers - they allow the level of their play to be brought DOWN by their opponents. They only do the minimum required. They do not set the bar, they allow it to be set for them.

I'd love to see Denver win this. I think C. Anthony has three times the class Kobe does any day of the week - and he plays his heart out each and every night, all season long.

Whether the matchup ends up being LeBron vs. Kobe Bryant or LeBron vs. Anthony, it'll be good.

A Denver/Orlando final wouldn't be terribly interesting, IMHO. It'd be like getting the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in the World Series.

Not me. Not even for money.

maybe that guy is doing the hair like that so he can be listed as taller. helps with contract negotiations.

as far as mvp and kobe's game 3 (which was an awesome performance), you must not have seen lebron's game 2, including his "zero seconds on the clock" 3 to win the game. one of the most memorable shots in nba history, the things legends are built on, and for sure saved their entire season. he doesn't make that shot, and they probably end up getting eliminated. he makes it, and they now IMO have a good chance of winning the championship.

mvp isn't the "best player" award, if it were, I think kobe would have won. Lebron is more of an "mvp" because his team really isn't that great. Lebron IS the Cavs, without him, they wouldn't have made the playoffs. with him, they have a good chance of winning the championship.

The lakers are a more balanced, talented team. (although their role players haven't really shown it as much during the playoffs, kobe has had to take the team on his back far more than he had to during the regular season).

Yes, I saw lee-brawns one shot. Over and over.
I've seen hundreds exactly like it over the years. Kobe's had more of those three-point buzzer-beaters than I can count.

The lakers consist of one guy and some support personnel. Just like the cavs. You take away Kobe and lew-braun and the two team would equally suck and be tied for last place.

So far in the playoffs Kobe is averaging around 30 points, shooting close to 47% from the floor, 40% from three point land, hitting 88% of his free throws, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, two steals and a block, and just over two turn-overs per game.

The greatest shots are not just the shot, but the context. Lebron's was one of the biggest, it saved their season.

The lakers have much better support players than the cavs. They have some really big, tall, athletic players who can play. Gasol, Bynum, Odom and Ariza all had great seasons (admittedly, those players have not been as great in the playoffs for some reason, particularly Bynum). Those 4 players had much better seasons and were much better players than any 4 support players from the cavs. The lakers likely would have made the playoffs without kobe.

Not sure what your point is about Kobe's stats, as least v. Lebron. Lebron is averaging 35 points, 55% from the floor, 38% from 3 point, 75% FT, 9 rebounds, 7 assists, two steals, one block and 2 turnovers per game in the playoffs.

for playoff stats, also, lebron has thus far lead his team to a 9-1 record so far.

I think they are equally important to their respective teams, but Lebron has had a slightly bigger impact thus far. (FYI, Kobe is my second favorite player all time behind MJ
