Possible career change
Hey guys - I'm just looking for thoughts, opinions or hookups
![]() I've been in IT forever and really just need a change. I don't mind the IT type work but I am no longer a real happy player in the consultant type role. I'd really like to get into something else, something that is stimulating to the mind. Something possibly automotive. The technician type role would get old real quick as I would get bored - I will probably need something with at least some engineering type of work to it. I have no degree but I did do some school towards Computer Engineering and I have a couple of IT related certifications. I'm just not sure what is out there. What do you guys do that you find interesting or stimulating?

Find someone with a car dyno and learn to program fuel injection, or I guess they call it "mapping." Mapping is done now on ignition and transmissions as well. You could burn chips for Motronic, but there are some guys like Steve Wong that are years ahead of you.
