Call 911 on your cell phone and tell the cops the guy just threatened you with a gun.

Appologize, then park in the space on the other side of his truck.

"Well, you see, sir, you're in my normal parking spot. Instead of demanding you let me park there, I thought I'd be a nice guy, let you have my spot, and just park next door." "Would you like to trade?"

I'd say nothing, move to another spot and immediately put the incident completely out of my mind. The world is full of idiots and arse wholes. Why would I respond to one of them, possibly provoking them to drag me into an unpleasant incident that couldn't possibly benefit me in any way? Life is short and I prefer to spend my energy otherwise.

Here is me parked next to my co-worker. He just got his nice G37x last week and he is paranoid about someone hitting it. He was less than pleased but laughed about as well. I would suggest the same for your parking lot Nazi.

" I knew if I parked next to you we both win as we are both concerned about other people denting our cars. Since we are both careful, this is a win-win for us."

I carry a valve stem core removal tool. I never key cars. I just loosen 2 valve stems and walk away. I've probably propped a few 16d nails under tires, too. I don't remember. | ||

There is a reason he parked far away from other cars, he didn't want anyone parking next to him. That is obvious. So why in the world would anyone park out away from all the other cars, and park right next to him if there were plenty of other spaces available? I don't get it. what were you thinking? It's not that big of a deal, but why would you do that? The answer to the poll would be: I'd realize what I had done, tell him he was right and that I wasn't thinking, and move my car.

Immediately turned and busted all the windows out of his car with a bat, thrown a road flare in it, and driven away. Last edited by targa911S; 06-05-2009 at 01:37 PM..

Well. I probably wouldn't of parked next to him. After all it does seem like there were plenty of open spaces.I would of parked a little further away from him, showing that you are as concerned about him as he is concerned about the others. If someone called me an idiot, I would of said FU a- hole. This incident sounds like it happened in a a parking lot, what the hell is wrong with that guy talking like that. If I was in my flatbed, I would of accidently backed into him a few times. It is really hard to see out those side mirrors.

[/QUOTE] Well, let's see, you wouldn't have done it but if you had, you would have punished him in some way if you did and he complained loudly and rude. ................................................. I pulled next up to a much newer 911 at Frys and we were both about mid isle, no cars for 5 spots. I figured we'd both have 50% less chance of getting dinged. When I came out, he was gone and I was surrounded. I wonder what he thought. If he was one of you guys, my car would have been trashed. One other thing, if there was someone sitting in a car way out there, I definitely would not have parked next to him, especially if he was in a 911. He might be one of you. So, mr. hard drive anger management guy, WTF did you do?

I would have walked away leaving my car where it was (of course risking a keying). If he pressed the issue, I would have calmly asked him if he owned the parking lot.

I would smile and remind him his wife is gonna be pissed if he forgets the whipped cream and cherries. Then mumble she is a filthy while walking away.

If the guy in the first car got out and called you an idiot for parking next to him, he would be the one with the problem. Not you.

Whenever I get called "idiot" by a stranger (everyday) I either blow them a kiss or ask them if they need a hug. "Do you need a hug? You need a hug don't you? Come on over here, big guy." The dude Cantdrv is talking about has a problem and I'm not going to let it be my problem as well. Duck that spit.
