Not all members automatically log in.
Could be they want to read and not be bothered. They could be using a cell phone to browse while waiting for something.

As a habit, I don't store any passwords for anything.
If I were to lose my laptop, I don't want someone who found it/stole it be able to easily assume my identity.

I have been a lurker for years.
I only log in if I am going to comment or if I am going to make a purchase. Other than that, I am an "unregistered" lurker. I do not have FF save passwords for me, so I see no need to log in everyday.
