On Woot - Klipsch Synergy F-1

Don't know how many here like the newer Klipsch lien of speakers, but checking Woot.com now they've got a pair of Klipsch Synergy F-1 for $349. Checking C-net, they seems to list at $275 each.
Seems like a good deal, as they;re not refurbs.

I have a pair of F-1s, I think they're pretty cool. Definitely worth $349 any day.

I had some A70s back in the '80s/'90s and while I loved them at first, the love affair ended after a few years. The grew to sound sort of sterile to me. Having said that, for $85 I'd buy 'em.

man I want them, I have no room... I just bought three months ago a pair of JBL LX500's and they already need the woofers refoamed.

Are the new Klipsch speakers any good? I know a few people with the old stuff - cornwalls, klipshorns, cornerhorns etc.... they seem to think the new stuff is garbage.

Fixed it for you!

A $200 speaker is never going to sound like a $x,000 Cornwall, but I think they are nice speakers, and as good as any of the rest of those mid-level (Polk, Infinity, KEF, whatever) speakers out there.

KEF? Is that still around. Shows you how much attention I've been paying to that.

Sunfire subwoofers rock the house. 2700 watts, accurate down to 16-18 hz at 115+ dB

Small ribbon mids and tweets for surround sound.

simply awesome. I own a bunch of it and it's worth every penny.
