Avis upgraded me to one of the 300 hp V6 Camaros yesterday in Omaha.
From a visibility standpoint it was a death trap. I couldn't see crap out of the back of it, the blind spots are huge, and the hood is pretty high up there.
The engine was ok, made a lot of noise and didn't really go anywhere.
In 64.5 the base engine was the 200 ci 6 with a 3 speed Dagenham transmission. The 260 was an early option, then they switched to the 289, A Code, K code, etc.
A neat little trivia fact is that the real 65 GT's used the standard 66 instrument bezel.
I have the '66 nmy dad and I bought from the original owner in 1991 sitting in my garage on the lift above the turbo. Mine has a pretty heavily built 200 ci 6 though, running three Webers...
