Saw the New Camaro today

I saw a brand new Chevy Camaro today. It looked good in the rear view mirror and had a definate V8 sound when it passed. But as I followed it, it reminded me of a big Pontiac Solstace from the rear. I think it looks better in photos.

Of course, this one was Yellow and it may look better in other colors - I'll have to see.

I haven't seen one here yet. I saw the first of the redesigned Mustangs the other day though, I liked the previous style much better.

I've been seeing them for a couple months now (5 minutes away from the proving grounds). Yellow, silver, maroon....they still don't do it for me. They look decent in black but for me a car that looks good in any color is a sign of good design. They look a bit unresolved, like more design time was needed.

When I saw one I thought it looked cartoonish. I'd take a '69 Z-28 any day over this retro-mobile.

I saw a maroon one yesterday. As it approached, I first thought that it was the two door Cadillac. It looked ok, the retro styling of mustangs challengers are better than the egg shaped cars of the late 80's.

i saw a black (possibly charcoal) one last week. i thought it looked pretty cool, although it seems they're about 2 years late with the design. And why are they waiting another year for the convertible version. doesn't make sense to me.

I saw one drive by me the other day. It just seemed rather anemic looking. The concept Camaro that that kid designed a couple of years ago was way better than what GM penned.

I really like them in person, but....they're just TOO BIG.

If only it was solstice sized....

Saw one the other day. Hugely uninspiring. The domestic competition must be pleased.

To repeat my comment in other Camaro threads. The C&D test article said that it hoped those who plunked down earnest money on one were all under 5'10". This because the roofline has been seriously slammed...only the vertically challenged will be happy inside one.

That's a close friend's Camaro SS with the RS package. Special ordered back in November and got it last week.

The design just seems too trendy, IMO. I'm sure most of the young whippersnappers will like 'em, though.

Because they look like they were designed by the Hot Wheels design team.

The car you've been carrying in your pocket is the one you wanna drive when you get your first job, right?

Take the Chevy bowtie off and it looks like it could've come from anybody's design team...

That color looks better than the yellow. But, I don't think I like how the rear end is rounded. To me, the rear end looks entirely too plastic.

I read somewhere (can't remember) that GM sometimes runs design concepts through Mattel. They produce a Hot Wheels and then gauge reaction because many adults buy them too.

Accidents waiting to happen. How can you see out of that thing?

Car companies should just buck up and make the c-pillars 4 feet wide, they seem to want to anyways. Just get rid of the rear and side windows.
