Cheaper Than Dirt is such a misnomer. How about I have ammo drop shipped to you and mark it up 20%? That would still be cheaper than that racket. Gawd, they're a ripoff. Try ammunitiontogo.com, aimsurplus.com and J&G Sales.

a-t-g is where I go. Even with having to pay sales tax, it is a good place.

Zombies ARE here! There have been 7 break ins around here in the past two weeks. Plus it gets worse closer to lower income housing. I heard people there are doing a break in a day. Scary stuff!

Oh, on-line ammo is usually cheaper then local stuff here. This is key: IF YOU CAN FIND IT............

I should add that local gun chat boards and Backpage sometimes have smoking deals on ammo. I just picked up a few hundred rounds of .357SIG and .40 S&W for way less than half of retail, did it in a parking lot. Lots of folks selling guns later realize they have a lot of ammo in that caliber they can no longer use.

i didn't mention i mainly buy my .303 british stuff online......it's over $30 for 20 locally.....
so far ctd has been the cheapest at around $15, and the others who list it seem to be fairly close to them....

what about surplus ammo? there's a guy on gunbroker who is selling crates of 700+ surplus .303 for a little less than $190 plus shipping, that's a bit out of budget right now.....but alot of rounds

i'll check out some other boards too.....that's a good idea

ATG is pretty good. My last order i placed they shipped the tins without the crate, and they came well dented. I got a deal on them, so i didn't mind much.

Cheap surplus ammo is usually Berdan primed and really can't be easily reloaded. I buy used Boxer primed brass and reload it as much as I can...

ammoman.com has some nice deals esp. if you are willing to buy in bulk.

I have not checked lately but the only thing I am low on is .380ACP which seemed to have disappeared from the face of the earth for a while there.

I heard it is only made for a short time each year and then they switch the dies to .38 special. And that this year, they didn't even bother with the .380 ACP

If someone is desparate for some .380ACP, PM me. I might part with a couple of boxes of FMJ.

Yeah, but the best supplier at our gun shows is from Prescott, which means we pay sales tax on it.

I truly won't order any ammunition from the sportsman guide. My last few tins of 7.62x25 where all cracked at the necks. they would jam as you feed them through... total POS
