Now we'll have the never-ending MJ tributes and speeches (Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, etc...) all describing MJ as the 2nd coming of Jesus. It will be just like Elvis, we'll never stop hearing about the "gloved wonder". In my mind, MJ and OJ just need to go away, along with the other celebrities who think their $ and fame allow them to ignore laws and society for their own pleasure...

THis is going to drag on and on. I don't want to hear about it for the next week or two.
The thread that was started yesterday less than an hour before it was announced had pretty odd timing. He was a great entertainer, it's a shame that ended years ago and the whacko took over. I wouldn't joke to/in front of his family, but his death means little to me. Lots of folks die every day. I suspect many of them were considered great/important/benevolent in their communities. To tell you the truth, MJ's death is probably past due. As messed up as he's gotten, and as turned around as his world had been, it probably would have been better for this to happen years ago.

I thought because the guy was over 400 milion in debt he faked his own death! This will be an Enquirer bonanza, i, e., "autopsy photos", "I swear it was not Michael Jackson in the morgue", "we saw him walk away with Elvis", "Jackson sightings everywhere"! The media will grab this like they did Elvis and it will go on for years. Wait til the drug use gets out!
I am in agreement with all regarding his child molestation activities. As a father, it made me sick to hear him talk about, sharing beds with children! In his last trial, it was the high paid lawyers who got him off which added to justice not being served. Several jurors in that trial admitted that he was indeed guilty and they themselves felt guilty later for allowing him to go free. |
