I am thankful...

Something a friend sent. Nice way to think about things...

I AM THANKFUL...

FOR THE WIFE
WHO MAKES HOTDOGS FOR DINNER
BECAUSE SHE IS HOME WITH ME
AND NOT OUT WITH SOMEONE ELSE.

FOR THE HUSBAND
WHO IS ON THE SOFA
BEING A COUCH POTATO,
BECAUSE HE IS HOME WITH ME
AND NOT OUT AT THE BARS.

FOR THE TEENAGER
WHO IS COMPLAINING ABOUT DOING DISHES
BECAUSE IT MEANS SHE IS AT HOME, NOT ON THE STREETS.

FOR THE TAXES I PAY
BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM EMPLOYED .

FOR THE MESS TO CLEAN AFTER A PARTY
BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE BEEN SURROUNDED BY FRIENDS.

FOR THE CLOTHES THAT FIT A LITTLE TOO SNUG
BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE ENOUGH TO EAT.

FOR MY SHADOW THAT WATCHES ME WORK
BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM OUT IN THE SUNSHINE

FOR A LAWN THAT NEEDS MOWING,
WINDOWS THAT NEED CLEANING,
AND GUTTERS THAT NEED FIXING
BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE A HOME .

FOR ALL THE COMPLAINING
I HEAR ABOUT THE GOVERNMENT
BECAUSE IT MEANS WE HAVE FREEDOM OF SPEECH.

FOR THE PARKING SPOT
I FIND AT THE FAR END OF THE PARKING LOT
BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM CAPABLE OF WALKING
AND I HAVE BEEN BLESSED WITH TRANSPORTATION .

FOR MY HUGE HEATING BILL
BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM WARM.

FOR THE LADY BEHIND ME IN CHURCH WHO SINGS OFF KEY
BECAUSE IT MEANS
I CAN HEAR.

FOR THE PILE OF LAUNDRY AND IRONING
BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE CLOTHES TO WEAR.

FOR WEARINESS AND ACHING MUSCLES AT THE END OF THE DAY
BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE BEEN CAPABLE OF WORKING HARD.

FOR THE ALARM THAT GOES OFF
IN THE EARLY MORNING HOURS
BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM ALIVE.

AND FINALLY, FOR TOO MUCH E-MAIL
BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE FRIENDS WHO ARE THINKING OF ME.

I am thankful....

that there's a "Caps Lock" button most people know how to use.

I suppose the person who emailed you that little ditty was too thankful to turn caps off...

Just sayin'

They were thankful for having an ADM-3A, which doesn't have a caps or shift key cause the ASCII they use doesn't go that high.

There is a lot of wisdom in the words posted. Finding fault because thay are in caps diminishes the real meaning behind them which is to live your life in a positive way rather than looking for small slights.

I am thankful for the severe pain in my index finger caused by contact with a joiner blade because it means that my nerves are working.

I am thankful for the bruise on my thigh because it means that I have a tablesaw powerful enough to kick back a sheet of plywood at a high velocity.

This is fun.

I am thankful for the courage to fight when something is wrong.

I am thankful that stray dogs know I'll treat them with kindness.

I am thankful that my children are healthy enough to out live me.

I am thankful to be here today. Thankful for all of God's blessings.

Now I'm going to go in the garage and polish Steve's car for a show tomorrow. So he better darn well be thankful!

I'm thankful my girlfriend conspired with my parents and flew into town early to surprise me for lunch at work today.

I'm still stunned...

And can't wait to get home from work to show her how thankful I am!

I get the point, but dude - I was joking. A little levity can go a long way.

I AM THANKFUL I CAN JOKE AROUND ON THE INTERNET WITHOUT GETTING OSTRACIZED.

And the freedom to make our own decissions.

If we don't like something it is entirely our own fault, no one elses (maybe GWB's).

I wish those could have been words my wife lived by when we were together. I wish she could have been thankful for what she had, rather than hateful for those things she didn't have. Thankful for the things I did, rather than hateful for the things I didn't do. Thankful that I stood by and loved her for ten years, rather than hateful that I existed.

I was thankful for every day I spent with her, because it meant that someone loved me.

Tuesday will mark one year since she came home and told me she she was through with us

Wolfe...perhaps it's time to stop thinking of what was, and think of what can be?

I try, but after ten years with her, it's difficult. Especially being the one year anniversary this week.

Got a sister who isn't crazy/depressed and enjoys being alive?
