Was a guy in Albuquerque (pretty well known) who had a black hot-air baloon and black chase truck with the same "N" number and plate number.
They were both taken away when people figured them out. Justifiably so. NI99ER Last edited by tcar; 09-16-2010 at 02:00 PM.. |

I read that as a variant of "NINER". That's more than likely what the owner meant, no?

The FAA would not have revoked the number if it was NINER. It was "NI99ER" 9's look a bit like a lower case ......'s? The balloon was what color? Admitedly not politically correct, but I'm just the messenger. BTW, it was his son in the balloon that just did a free fall into the Adriatic Sea. http://www.aolnews.com/sports/article/us-balloonists-plunged-at-50-mph-likely-dead/19657824 He's from Albuquerque, where the Great Balloon Fesival is in full swing now. You haven't seen anything until you see 800-1000 balloons in the air at the same time. Last edited by tcar; 10-01-2010 at 07:41 PM.. |
