$44.5k for an SC?!?!!?!?!

My '83 SC was probably nicer than this one and I was overjoyed to get $20k for it back when the economy was good.

Good Lawd. I could understand paying that much for a concours-quality, 100% original 911SC.

If it came with brand new Desmosedici RR.

Ummmm....no. Even with the low miles, if it were 100% coucours perfect, maybe $25k, probably less. In its current altered form? Maybe $16-18k.

$44K is BMW 335 territory - which would rip an SC to bits and pieces w/o trying.

He's been smoking too much crack

I'd rather spend $7,700 on the Carrera Targa and use the change for the Carrera GT3

I have had my hands on Ricks old SC, and I will agree his was damn near given away when he sold it.
That dude needs to get off the cheep stuff and start smoking the good weed.

$44k will put you in a well-equipped '05 Carrera S w/ a few miles on it these days, (or close to it). That will probably be my next Porsche. The depreciation curve slams on the brakes at that price for that car and it's 3 times the Porsche of any SC on earth. Including in looks, IMO.

I loved my SC and miss it but they are $14-16k cars in my book and my book doesn't change with crazy market fluctuations. When all of the collectors du jour switch from hula hoops or beanie babies to old Porsches, early 911S cars are still worth $20-25k in my book.

It had better be a lot more than 4!

In Romania, $44K would get you 6202 blow jobs! Assuming no volume discount...

Well, I think there'd be some ...ahem... diminishing returns there.

Heck, I was at Supercar Sunday a couple months ago and some guy was trying to unload his '02 Turbo with 45K miles (with the service already done) for that much. Or that little, depending upon your perspective.
