Yuck! It's Hot Out
Detailed Local Forecast
Tonight: Generally clear. Low 71F. Winds NW at 10 to 15 mph. Tomorrow: Except for a few afternoon clouds, mainly sunny. Hot. High around 105F. Winds W at 5 to 10 mph. Tomorrow night: Partly cloudy skies. Low 74F. Winds NW at 10 to 15 mph. Thursday: Intervals of clouds and sunshine. High 103F. Winds NNW at 5 to 10 mph. Friday: Partly cloudy. Highs 101 to 105F and lows in the low 70s. Saturday: A few clouds. Highs 102 to 106F and lows in the low 70s. It's hard to believe but today is the start of a cooling trend. It felt very nice this morning since is was 80 at 8:00 am compared to 90 at 8:00 am a couple of days ago. The most depressing thing to me is I can see dollar signs every time the ac goes on which is all day long..... |

It's nice outside. I walked briskly for 1.25 miles and wasn't the least bit hot.

Wow. We've barely had summer here in Chicago. It might have hit 80 today. Over the weekend, it was in the upper 60's. It might get back to 80 for the coming weekend. It sucks.

In the 80's here. Yesterday the humidity was 60%. Today, down to 30%. 85 where I sit in my office and 80 in the house. It will stay 80* 24/7 until October.

Uh huh, 85 overnight is what I see. Still, that's why I got the hell out of Clark county in '94. One year there and I'd seen it all. 35 degrees all day long in Feb. It seemed warmer at night. Then, before you knew it, it was too hot to work at 8 am.
I used to take Vicodin just to to be able to stand the heat while working outdoors in the shade. (It works.) Then I drank about 12 beers from 3 to 9 pm. But, that's no way to live. I got back to LB and the humidity struck me down. It still does. I wouldn't go back to the South and put up with that sch!dt for anything. BTDT. I was so hot there I could wring water out of my shorts and shirt. Then, as they say down there, "A storm come up." Great, now it's 88 degrees and 100% humidity. At that point, you can't cool down by even staying hydrated. Yes, I have been more than miserable at times. Makes standing out at Willow Springs with the wind blowing so hard that you don't take your helmet off or face that wind unless you put the visor down seem downright OK. |

113 here yesterday and it even rained last night. It's kinda chilly today at 108, but the humidity is up.

It may be hot here, but at least the air quality sucks.

Well, it was rather hot today in my opinion. Especially because my wife forgot to close up the house this morning, leaving every window open and fans blowing hot air in through those windows. And around mid morning she and our daughter decided to bake four batches of cookies. And said daughter forgot and left the stove "on" for hours. And then they couldn't clean up the kitchen because it was "too hot". And I arrived home, after a sweaty ride on the scooter, wrapped in all my nostatic-approved armour and leather, panting as all of Portland sashayed around me in shorts and summer dresses. And found the house baking like a sauna, the kitchen stacked high with dough-covered bowls and cookie pans. Oh, did I mention our central air went out and we haven't had time to get it fixed? I did some yelling, I admit.

I remember the summer of '59 in good old Fresberg. It got over 105 everyday for a week in a row. At least in those days the smog wasn't so bad. I have imprinted on my mind a time when I was at the intersection of Fruit & McKinley and the local radio station announced it was 10 PM and the temp was 100 degrees. Glad I'm not there anymore. The one thing I do miss to this day are the balmy nights though.

I can't feel sorry for ya!!! Back home (central Texas), 115 degrees on the south side of the house!! Less than three inches of rain so far this year. Should be closer to a foot or more!!! Gardens are DEAD!!!
Here in central Indiana, we got up to 82 degrees today!!! It is down around 70 right now and set to drop some more. I can no longer take the heat, and sometimes 85 gets to be too much for me. BUT, house is on the side of a hill and we are set-up to receive the prevailing wind!! The builder paid attention to detail back in 1961!!! We have yet to turn on the AC!!!!
