Good evening guys. The 911 is packed full. In the morning in goes the ice chest my computer bag and the wife's last little bag.
My MIL was here cooking a pork tenderloin when I got home. Yummy food actually cooked in our kitchen. She will be house and dog sitting. All the neighbors are on full alert. The across the street neighbor will roll my two heavy trash cans to the curb. The retired sheriff's deputy next door will be watching and he asked for extra patrols from his cop friends. The house will probably be safer next week than normal. :) My plan is to take a picture of every gas pump when I fill up. The tank is full right now with 100% gasoline. That will probably be the last of the real gas until I get back home to Oklahoma. With the geo-tagging on the photos I can see just where each stop was. We will stop a lot more than my other trips since I have the wife with me. And we have to stop at nice places no yucky truck stops. The adventure begins in a few hours. |
evening guys. had the day off but no time to play at hte computer been dragging hte kid from one guitar thing after another.
Glen enjoy the trip and be safe. |
Have a safe trip Glen and Mrs Glen.
Remember your camera. |
Hey Dave got a guitar question for you. The kid and I were watching a vid that his instructor gave him. There was a guy playing a fender that had a wooden neck and what looked like a clear plastic body. one would think the sound would be bad right?

Isn't that a little much to wear this time of year?

Picture is from last may, the water was around 50*F. I had on a 7mm full suit, and a 3mm jacket.....

I saw a youtube video a few months back that had the guy playing in view from basically the guitar neck up. You could see and hear him play different tunes/sounds. At the end, the guy videoing pulled out to reveal a neck and pickup mounted to a plank from a pallet. No matter that they say, wood does change and make a guitars sound, but in the electric world, the body/neck material can be almost anything. As for the video.. Was the guy playing? If you had closed your eyes and listened, could you tell a diff? :) The 80's saw its fair share of synthetic material guitars. In the end, wood is best. |
Morning, guys!
Looking forward to following your trip, Glen. |
