Yes, but the turbo has more weight in it.
Some of the SCs out here a bloody quick around the track.

Rick V 08-18-2011 03:02 PM

Oh you give me a tight track and I will give you a damn good run. :)

pete3799 08-18-2011 03:03 PM

I don't know what mine puts out, but when i step on it, it goes really really fast.

vas930 08-18-2011 03:09 PM

My dad, who was a great driver, would beat the turbos on a small track all the time.
That was in his 75 2.7, a great car.

Stijn!!

I finally have a mount for my iPhone so I will shoot a video this weekend.

vas930 08-18-2011 03:15 PM

I love the brute force of the 930, a forced inducted case of automotive wood

it is hard to keep that turbo spooled up. without it, the car is dead in the water. i have folks at autocross criticize me all the time about my wheel spin in the corners (good natured criticism), until i offer to let them drive the car on the course and beat my time. (i have taken first in every event in my class this season.)

on a side note, check this thread i found, by accident:

How NOT to clean your chain. **GRAPHIC PICS*** : Suzuki GSX-R Motorcycle Forums: Gixxer.com

not for the squeamish. motorcycle chain lubrication gone really really wrong. you have been WARNED.

vas930 08-18-2011 03:22 PM

Yes, give them another 100hp over stock, keep it on boost and its great fun.
Fast, even by todays standard.

vas930 08-18-2011 03:28 PM

Ahw thats nasty.

Rick V 08-18-2011 03:29 PM

are there statistics for the death rate of original owners of the 930? the 930 redefined performance. several new owners paid the price with their lives for not having the proper respect. the same is true of the 951. i was warned when i bought the car. i have yet to swap ends on public roads.
