Vas, not sure what happened to the video today, but it's blurry, hiccups every second and they are all 1 minute each. All cut out in the middle of the runs. Sorry, next month. Guess I messed up a setting in the camera. Will have to play with it before the next event.

How did you find the seat? Did you end up third? :) |
Evening guys....
Kicked back on my new couch, listening to some good acoustic guitar music.... Very chill... Got a buyer coming to look at the motorcycle tomorrow. I may get some of that money to put towards my bicycle fund... |
What type of bike are you after Sid? :)

I think probably a hardtail 29er. I've been doing some riding on my parents place on a cheap hardtail bike, and a cheap stiff frame mtb. The front susp helps a ton. I would like a bike to keep over here at school to ride around and back and forth to campus. A 29er will do fine on road, and will kick ass off road.
Been looking at a motobecane, and a few specialized http://forums.pelicanparts.com/off-topic-discussions/625461-all-these-bike-threads-have-me-shopping.html |
Ok going out for some food.
Back soon. |
I figured out what happened to the camera, at least part of it. I changed the mode from normal to sports/action. I didn't notice that it changed from 640x480 to 320x240. Not sure why it cut off after a minute though.

Back in college I got my cool 10 speed stolen. I had done some tuning and a custom paint job. They snipped the big ars chain. I searched around the small college town but never found the bike.
Anyway, I replaced it with a really cheap used JC Penny 10 speed. Had to spray it with WD-40 to get the rusty bits to work well enough to shift gears. It was so ugly I didn't even have to bother locking it up. The cool thing was the shifter mechanism was messed up somehow and would automatically shift the rear to the highest gear. Pull it back into 1st to start out and it would slowly shift through the gears and back into 5th. I loved it. Carrying books and stuff around campus shifting was a hassle, it's shifting thing was like having an automatic transmission. After college I gave the bike to my brother and he took it to a bike shop and had the "automatic shifter" fixed. Guess he didn't have the legs to cruise around in 4th or 5th once you got going. |
Stainless steel cable > chain.... Trust me, unless they carry around a plasma, they won't cut braided stainless....

My best friend growing up and I both had Redline BMX bikes. Mine was top of the line, his right below. We chained them to a bike rack at the local Big 5 and were inside for no more than 5 minutes. Came out and they were gone. I'm still bummed to this day. That was my favorite bike. Byron has a frame and some parts. I have been tempted to buy it.

I've been looking at retro style cafe racer bikes.

I like those... But I doubt I can keep that inside my apartment....

Just put some newspaper under it.
