Dude you said 855M to me... 282 ft is just 94meter , not 855
You got yer metric wrong.

slodave 01-08-2012 01:12 AM

I think it was supposed to be 85.5M (86M actually)... iPhone goof. Sorry. :)

svandamme 01-08-2012 01:34 AM

Hey Guys

Nice pics Dave/Sid

Bugger! Just discovered the circuit breaker to the part of the house where the freezer lives has blown while we were on holidays - phew!

Rick V 01-08-2012 02:26 AM

Welcome home

Outback Porsche 01-08-2012 02:53 AM

Hehe

Not the welcome I'd prefer. All cleaned up. Time for bed. HooRoo.

What's happening Rick.

Rick V 01-08-2012 03:10 AM

Just easing into my day. How is the world of Pete?

pete3799 01-08-2012 03:17 AM

So far so good.
Found a Snap-on Mid rise lift on CL for $1200.00 not far from here.
Hope he's still got it.

Rick V 01-08-2012 03:26 AM

Sweet!! BTW don't forget to turn the heat on in the 911 to help keep mice from getting into the duct work.

Rick V 01-08-2012 03:31 AM

I think I know where you can find a truck to pick up that lift if ya need help. Bwahahahahaha I kill me

pete3799 01-08-2012 03:35 AM

So far haven't had any mouse trouble .......yet. But yeah i've got the flappers closed.
Seriously thinking about mounting some snow's on my spare cookie's.
Would be fun bombing around on the dirt (snow) roads around here.

Rick V 01-08-2012 03:40 AM

I'll give ya a good reason not to do that. Lanna has been a garage queen her entire life, when I did the cat bypass it took me 30 mins with hand tools. The Targa has been a drive it whenever outside living car it's entire life, when I did the same job on it it was a few hours and required a torch and a lot of surface cleaning. I hate working on the Targa since after 30 years everything has been beaten to death by mother nature. The clean Lanna is easy, nothing requires a torch.

pete3799 01-08-2012 03:47 AM

Yeah....that's the only thing holding me back.
But this would be so much fun

Dad used to work at a place called YBH Porsche/Audi in Devon Pa back when I was a little kid, they built one of those and I remember them firing it up in the showroom. The front end was pointing out towards the road and when they turned on the lights you could hear the paper crinkling along the back wall from the reflection.

RKDinOKC 01-08-2012 05:46 AM

Took my 914 in to a shop to get a $12.00 tune up back in the day. Shop owner asked me to come look at a 911 a customer had brought in for a spring tune up because it was running kinda rough. When he opened the rear bonnet the entire area under the bonnet was packed full of dry dog food.

Remember him saying something about mice and storing the dog food in the same garage as the car, but nothing about heater vents.

Rick V 01-08-2012 05:52 AM

If you keep the heat turned off you open the vents that run into the passenger compartment.
You know a $12 tune up is just showing your age. :D
