What sort of money are they worth in the US?

We paid 4700 for mine in 2005. It was in top mechanical shape, only interior flaw was the dash crack, and the paint was OK, it had been buffed through in a few spots, but shined up nicely.

I have since had it repainted, got bumped in a parking lot, and there was all the suspension work.... I think if I tried I might could sell it for 6k, which would put me several k in the hole. However it won't be sold, so I don't care.

I hope you are going to gut all the VW switches and such from the inside

porsche4life 02-04-2012 04:17 PM

Yes, was originally going to be a spec racer.

Went to the Planes of Fame Museum in Chino today for a little show. Not technically an airshow so no low passes allowed, by they did fly a replica FW-190 and had two WW2 Luftwaffe veterans who flew FW-190s, Me-109s, M2-262s, and the unusual He-162.

Pratt+Whitney powered, rather than the original, more advanced BMW radial so performance was compromised some.

Here is the He-162, arframe and wings made out of wood due to the scarcity of metals in the end days of the war.

Wow, nice pics! It's amazing what those crazy nazis were cooking up.

Oh yeah, the headphones. Sound quality is excellent, the programability is a little buggy, but functional. Comfort is awesome, they come with several interchangeable tips....
