Fair point, Stick.
This is why I am asking what you guys think.

From LindseyRacing's web site

These are the 17in wheels made from 16in fuchs

Personally I don't like solid black wheels on a 911, nor the color matched ones.

vas930 04-19-2012 12:33 AM

Lots of cleaning on the polished finish.
Everytime I clean would mean a polish.
My wheels are a new cast centre for the 17.
Not old fuchs centres.
They do look nice.

You think, go the stock look, Rick ?
If I go with anything other than all black it would be the stock Black with silver rim.

Rick V 04-19-2012 12:36 AM

You can do a clear powder coating on them Vas. Wash and go

Yeah I am a traditionalist, just look at Lanna and you will know that, but that is just me. In the end it is your car and you do what you like and not what we like, or just send the car to me and I will get back to you with a report on my opinion in a bit. ( a few years is a bit right?)

Rick, my Fuchs have a clear coat and yes, very easy to clean.
I had them painted and the rims polished, then a coat of clear with a dulling agent to give the original silver look. :)
I know its up to me, but you guys all have a good opinion.:)

Wheels make a big difference. I like the newer style wheels on my GTS...

And the new one is nice also.

vas930 04-19-2012 12:50 AM

Your car does look good with the new wheels.

Rick V 04-19-2012 12:50 AM

When are you getting your car back Richard?

RKDinOKC 04-19-2012 12:50 AM

I think these come out at 26" wheels with 5 series tires.

The shape of the 928 was way ahead of its time.
The lines are awesome.

RKDinOKC 04-19-2012 12:51 AM

Current schedule is first weekend in May at the latest.

vas930 04-19-2012 12:52 AM
