We had our dogs "fixed" before they ever matured enough to notice.

i very deliberately chose not to have gigi spayed. we did neuter her brother. he got fat, too. and pretty fast. not huge, but definitely overweight. he should have weighed about 170, given his size and breed. he weighed closer to 195. it was a weighty decision.

GH85Carrera 06-21-2012 10:46 AM

I have never heard that a fixed dog gains weight. It is usually just like humans, too many calories in and not enough exercise.

RKDinOKC 06-21-2012 12:01 PM

Spayed *****es get fat. Dalmation next door looked like a Lab.

well, i saw it with three newfoundlands, mother, two sisters, and brother. the one that wasn't fixed didn't get fat: mine. i fed both the brother and sister the same. the other sister and mother were on a diet and still got fat. YMMV.

it was remarkably beautiful there. i can't wait to go back. my friend and i both commented on how serene and beautiful it is. nothing there but a twisty road, wildlife, reeds and water. gorgeous.

even the population of mosquitoes was a thing to behold. i have NEVER seen mosquitoes that thick. the eucalyptus/lemon repellent i brought actually worked, fortunately.

i did, actually. two smallish channel cats. my friend really wanted them, so he took them home. they were a bit too small, IMO, to waste my time cleaning them, etc.

Expect freakish huge hail and strong winds in the OKC area. They just finished re-roofing my house.

Took the landy out to run errands today, she's purring like a kitten

slodave 06-21-2012 08:16 PM

I was thinking of taking a pic of the beer section at the local grocery store for you. Lots of Stone Brews on the shelf.

HHI944 06-21-2012 08:19 PM

My local craft place is heavy on Stone.......including the range of apparel and glasses.......
the 10th anny Ruination is insane......exactly what you would expect of stone for such a beer.......5lbs of hops per barrell...
