Morning Dave. There is a group from Fla. that comes up to the dragon every year and rides the last hill out every year on regular big wheels. bearing failure landed this one a spot on the tree of shame.

I'm game. Sign me up. :D

I would be except for the idiots that like to prove they have no skill by driving in the wrong lane. My first time ever on that road, in the very first hard turn I was met by some asshat kid in my lane in a four wheel lockup. The only thing that saved me was he didn't know to let go of the brakes and I was making a right hander so he was sliding away from me as I got closer.
I found him about an hour later back at the store with the tree of shame, and it was ON!!
Three of his buddies and about 50 of my friends. Yeah they left before I got close enough to actually lose a boot.
For that reason alone I would not do the bigwheel thing there, although I smile just thinking about it.

Morning!

Great story, Mike! A blast from the past!

Rick V 07-15-2012 01:27 AM

Morning G. I see the little lady is giving a little more leash on the pelican front. :D

Yes I am an ass

She sounds like a great lady. You sound like one lucky s.o.b.

Dave I have been looking at the Huffy slider and I have an idea. Skilz builds and rehabs bikes, he has lots of parts and such, and I have a welder and such. I think I am going to call him today and see if he wants to donate some parts and I might just build one.
Why do I feel like this is going to be a hold my beer type of thing?

slodave 07-15-2012 01:47 AM

Oh sure have fun without me. :)

And now I have that song stuck in my head (not the system) thanks dave

Noah930 07-15-2012 02:43 AM

Anyone still up?

I'm up with the dog at 3 in the morning. I think she's got a stomachache. Her stomach's gurgling. I took her for a walk and she pooped, but also ate some grass. Still restless (and gurgling).

Noah930 07-15-2012 02:44 AM

Great, now she's whimpering at the back door.

Rick V 07-15-2012 02:59 AM

If she is eating grass she needs to do the technicolor yawn

GH85Carrera 07-15-2012 03:04 AM

Wow Mike! Great story. Are you sure that is not a movie? I glad that really does happen in the real world.

Noah930 07-15-2012 03:05 AM

That's why I'm awake at (now) 4 in the morning.

Apparently so are some not-so-good guys, as there's a police helicopter with searchlight flying circles overhead (maybe in the next neighborhood over).

Actually, I can't tell which end it's going to come out. Her stomach's gurgling something fierce. But she's eating grass.

Rick V 07-15-2012 03:06 AM

That is one way a dog will deal with a sour stomach, eating grass. People have been known to smoke grass for the same reason

I'm gonna pretend I didn't read that.

Is that one of those paperback books with Fabio on the cover?

Great story, Mike. So when do we (on the Stijn thread) get to meet this young lady? :D
