I just bought the new ZZ Top CD. It sounds a lot like the early stuff. More blues much like their 1st two albums. I like it.

Good Friday morning folks.

It is cold enough that I left the shorts at home and changed to jeans. :(

There is a freeze warning for Sunday morning, the day of our autocross. :eek:

I will have to do a test to see if I can get into the 911. Saturday is the club breakfast and Sunday is the autocross. I have not autocrosses in ages. I missed the July autocross because I went to UT. Then the surgery precluded the last few autocrosses. I hope I can drive the 911 comfortably. I managed to ride in a friends Miata. That thing does not have much leg room.

Morning all. Yep ZZ Top has done it again. Connor has one of the new songs just about mastered.

I bought the new Skynyrd album as well. Same old Skynyrd. I like it as well.

Once again I am reminded why I quit building computers. :(

I have my new system tweaked and running fine. When I was building my machine one of the Seagate drives (made in Chine) was defective from the initial power on. It would just click 4 times and give up. Since we had two more drives just like it for the second system I grabbed one of them and finished the build.

We went through the RMA process with New Egg and after a week we finally have the second drive replaced. I put everything together on the second system and did the "smoke test" there was no smoke and nothing but two lights on the motherboard. Grumble grumble cuss words and profanity.

I powered down my working system and removed the power supply, and put it in the new system. It fired right up. Both hard drives and the DVD show up in BIOS and it is ready to go. Power down and put the PS back in my machine and all is well. We call New Egg and they tell us we only get one RMA per customer number! :(:(

So we order a new PS and we will return the dead one after the new one comes in. Another week before we can fire up the second system.

The joys of computer builds. It always seems to be this way.

I also bought the CD Back in Black by AC/DC so I burned a MP3 disc of the new ZZ & Skynyrd and AC/DC and have that in my car. I will listen to all of them a few times and then burn a new DVD with the new albums and 4.5 Gigs of other albums I own.
