This paper has to be the worlds worst for headlines. I think they pride themselves in it.

Just slush from the Nice Bridge Md/VA line to Fredericksburg. Light traffic, so I could drive 65 all the way, although it ws hard to see sometimes. Trains are running. Slippery walking in the parking lot.as the snow compresses to ice underfoot. About 32F.

I havent been out yet, but the boss hasn't called me to say we are closed so I imaging the roads are okay. Gonna have some fun in the Boxster today, I just don't feel like digging Peggy out

Jferr006 03-18-2013 02:29 AM

Yea it's really wet and will be rain here by 9 so I imagine it'll just be a little tricky this morning.

I just love it when the weather service tell me the heavy snow will make travel dangerous, and I should put food in my car and wear a heavy coat. No 5hit Sherlock.

Just tell me the forecast!

I wonder if there is anyone ever that said "wow I better put food and water in my car this time because the weather service said I should." The people that plan ahead for problems already have that stuff ready. The other dummies that never plan ahead and go out in a winter storm are the ones that need to be rescued. They will not change because of the weather service.

Get off my lawn!

Good morning folks.

Porsche-poor 03-18-2013 05:43 AM

Good morning all. Be safe.

Jim Richards 03-18-2013 07:10 AM

Be careful out there, guys. And I hope the weather improves for ASAP.

I'm feeling under the weather. Sinuses. :(

Porsche-poor 03-18-2013 07:12 AM

climate change. they miss the cold.

Jim Richards 03-18-2013 07:17 AM

I don't. :)

RKDinOKC 03-18-2013 07:17 AM

But do you carry a roll of toilet paper in your car? Now THAT'S an emergency i would rather not have someone else rescue me from.

Porsche-poor 03-18-2013 07:18 AM

hey Jferr! got one for you. DWG files and TIFF files do you know of a way to make the tiff a perm part of the dwg. Kinda like a bound xref. Seems we have a few folks here that keep forgetting to send the tiff to the client.

azzarule 03-18-2013 07:37 AM

Well snow here this morning, about an inch, Hubby set off for BWI and said it was a bit snowy but not too bad, cleared up before he got to BWI, temp is 33, so have the fire going, just to make me feel warmer.

Dropped Hubby off to collect a rental car, and there were some big crashes on the way, heaps of ambulances, fire brigade cops that sort of thing, so looking pretty bad on the roads around peak morning time, was still snowing fairly heavily at the time, so after dropping Hubby, went to Panera and had a coffee and read the paper, and waited for the stupidity to stop.

RKDinOKC 03-18-2013 07:41 AM

That kind of craziness is exactly why I bought an $800 Range Rover. it's 4x4 so gets around just fine, but cheap enough if the stupididity tries to occupy the same space as me, no worries.

That would be interesting if possible.

I have several customers in several states that can't figure out how to re-link a tiff in a DWG. I send the tiff but is is never in the same directory that they have on their computer.

Porsche-poor 03-18-2013 09:41 AM

bingo that is my problem........aka stupid clients on top of stupid drafters.

Jim Richards 03-18-2013 12:24 PM

I'm starting to feel like a humanoid again. I guess the garage becons me.

azzarule 03-18-2013 01:40 PM
