Well what started out as a rather interesting morning turned out to be a nice day, except my grass went from brown to green while I was at work

Jim Richards 04-12-2013 02:16 PM

Rick, you must be "on the other side." ;)

Rotten crap will do that to ya.

azzarule 04-12-2013 02:23 PM

Well Jim being on the green side of the grass is definitely better than being on the brown side!!!!

Just went to Texas Longhorn for a quick dinner, now wish I hadn't, too full, should have just stuck with the Margarita and not got the food, not that I had any appetizer, or dessert, just main, and not a very big one at that, no fries, didn't finish my plate, but am stuffed.

I needed Jeff the electronics guy today... Had to replace some stuff on my demo trailer. Apparently 3 years of bouncing up and down the highway was hard on things. I was starting to have pins break off inside the connectors.....

After fixing that though, it works like a charm!

Chassis goes between the uprights. Suspension connects the uprights to the chassis. I'm on the suspension team, not chassis.

Wait, that probably wasn't what you meant...

I can guarantee there are pictures from Bing & Google of your house. High resolution and straight down. In fact your house gets photographed several times each year. The tax collector uses it to see if you built a pool or added a building in the back yard. If it is outside it can and will be photographed.

I found this old photo in the pile of photos I have been digging through. This is me on my bycicle next to the Apollo 11 "moon module" that kept the world safe from the moon bugs. Neal Armstrong waved at me. This was just a few blocks from our house at Hickam AFB in Hawaii. They loaded the module in an Air Force cargo jet and flew back home.

Well night all, I was sitting here checking out my FB and had a video call from my oldest dearest from elementary school and life long friend, Three and a half hours later, her hubby said that's enough and cut the phone call short!!!! She lives in Tasmania, and we only get to see one another every couple of years anyway, so when we get together (she doesn't use a computer ever, usually) we talk for hours, or days if we are allowed. It was lovely to catch up, she hasn't had a good year, a couple of friends have passed away, and she sounded quite down in the dumps at the beginning of the call, now I think she has cheered up a bit, and we have promised to talk every couple of weeks.

Lovely way to finish a day, off to bed now.

Night all.

Porsche-poor 04-12-2013 06:23 PM

Night.

Rather than go to the 944 board I figured I would ask this question here. What are the rotor thicknesses for the front and rear brake discs on a 944 turbo? Someone is asking me if 944 Turbo calipers will work for a Carrera (24mm thick rotors). Apparently he has the front 944 turbo calipers on the front Carrera rotors but I think the rear 944 turbo rotors might be 20mm and therefore the Carrera pads might need to be shaved if the 944 Turbo rear caliper pistons won't retract the extra 0.08" on each side to clear the thicker rotor.

Morning Y'all. Why the hell am I up at this hour on a sat?

Jim Richards 04-13-2013 02:50 AM
