The sun is out, the sky is blue. We are off to the PCA breakfast. I GOTTA get to work on my 911 project. From getting all the fuel lines off the intake to getting all the oil lines ready to come off. Lots of penetrating spray on the fittings for now. Especially the thermostat fittings.

Remember my first bike. Got it when I was 4. Don't remember how old I was, but do remember the first ride out of the driveway without the training wheels. It was cool, the next Christmas I got a thing called a Vroom. It mounted on the frame and looked like a motorcycle engine and made engine sounds when you turned the key and reved the grip.

Also remember my second bike, it was a Hiawatha, like a Sting Ray with big ol slick on the rear, chrome fenders, and banana seat, but had different handle bars. Got it for my 7th Birthday. Was able to ride it to school in 4th grade. To ride your bike to school you had to get a tag for it from the local fire station (registered the serial number) and pass a bicycle safety test. The safety test also included riding through various skill test courses. Did very well, made 4th in State. Won a gift certificate that I spent on lights, a speedometer, saddle baskets, and rear view mirrors.

When 13 replaced the Sting Ray style bike for a 10 speed. Even though it was new, took it apart, stripped the paint, sanded it, and re-painted it metailic blue with red and yellow flames.

Spent a few hours ripping out ivy, English, and poison

Jim Richards 05-04-2013 06:45 AM

English ivy...vile stuff.

You are starting to keep "Dave's hours"

I have always been a night owl. Sometimes I am busy and get exhausted easily and fall asleep like a brick. Other times, I am busy and it's the opposite. I start making plans and spreadsheets, looking at stuff. Last night I made a spreadsheet on how much money I want to save for a Porsche and how much I would have to save of every paycheck. How long it would take me. When I make my mind up about something, stay out of my way. Once I make a decision about something, I am pretty definitive about it. And I have to admit. Kind of excited about the birthday party. Gonna be plain fun. Taking my boys to their golf lesson first and then a jumping we will go! :). Can't wait to give him the bike.

Wasn't it the man show that had a whole bunch of women jumping on a trampoline at the end if the show? That show was pretty funny.

Rick V 05-04-2013 07:37 AM

I think so, they are all spinoff's of The Bennie Hill Show. :)

Is it tacky that I wear yoga pants and a tank top to the party? I just want to be comfy when I jump with my boys. :)

tweezers74 05-04-2013 07:56 AM

Ummmmmmmmmmm do you really want an answer to that? You know what the guys are going to say

Jim Richards 05-04-2013 09:20 AM

I see nothing wrong with asking us guys. :D

We're going to try and make it over to the Porsche dealer later today for their 2014 Cayman release event. I'm really looking forward to seeing a Cayman released in the wild.

Guys enjoy yoga pants more than girls do...

That's all I got to say bout that.

Afternoon y'all. Morning coffee at the beach with the regular Porsche/Audi boys. Triple espresso mocha so I can buff out a varnished door...

Should have it done front and back in 7.5 minutes;)

Jim Richards 05-04-2013 10:27 AM

Hi Michael.

Speaking of doors, I just finished repainting my front door. It was looking mangy after a few years of my wife letting her bike's basket drag across the surface of the partially open door.

Porsche-poor 05-04-2013 10:27 AM

Morning all.

Jim Richards 05-04-2013 10:29 AM

Hey David.
