I want to go snowboarding. I didn't get a chance to make it out all season and around here, once the snow is gone, it's gone. I have a 154 for the pipe and a 158 for mountain/trail riding. I want to get a 170 narrow long board for downhill races. My buddy got into it and really likes it.

I will be elbows deep in some wet chemistry the rest of the day in the lab. Yay... fun, fun. See you all on the flip side.

This is a pic from the webcam at base camp! Woo hooooo!!! Can you tell I am excited? Haven't gone since January.

Not really I just remember a huge pile of dirt in the feed.

Wow. Just wow. Where do you come up with these things, Sidney?

tweezers74 05-08-2013 06:33 AM

And Sidney, get out to some snow with that new carbon fiber board of yours. See how it stands up in snow!

Weeeee I am having a blast. :(

Sitting at my dads house waiting on the gas company. The technician came out and there is water in the gas line. That is not a good thing. We get to have a new gas line. Oh boy. The back yard most likely will be dug up from the house to the end of the property into the neighbors yard. At least I don't have to do the digging.

Porsche-poor 05-08-2013 06:58 AM

Sounds like fun....NOT!!!

A-Basin like to stay open as long as possible. Sounds like you're going to have fun, tweeze. :)

Well, my '44 went kaput on me in the pouring rain Sunday evening. Idle dropped, then motor died while waiting to make a left turn from a middle turn lane.

Funny thing happened once the tow truck driver got there. He had hooked the car up, and is about to start to pulling the car onto the bed of the truck. This car had pulled up behind my 944 and started laying on the horn like they had the duty of the angel of judgement day. I turn with this look of utter what the quacking duck on my face to behold who thus disturbed the simplicity of the sky dumping water upon us.

I think maybe she didn't see that the '44 had its flashers on, or that the big ol' tow truck in front had flashing lights on the roof, or the people standing around. Well, maybe she thought we'd magically move out of her way with majestic blaring of the horn of her car. It gave me a much needed laugh. The look on her face in that situation was priceless. It was like one of those bad pictures of Mrs. Obama they needlessly post in PARF. Eventually she must of figured out we weren't going anywhere soon enough for her, so she took her hand off the horn and pulled around us. :D

I've had a bunch to do, so have been staying at work, but I've finally taken a look at the car. My thought was the stud of the fly wheel for the reference sensor had backed out or fallen off. Put the car in 5th and looked through the inspection hole while trying to rock the car enough to spin the fly wheel. Sure enough, there is a threaded hole with no stud... pull reference sensor and there is a dent.

That is gonna be a fun fix.

Well, the yard gets dug up, they have to go around the garage then through the garden area to the neighbors yard. The gas line to the garage where the water heater is will have to be re-routed. That might take a week. Since no one is taking a shower there it does not matter. It is a 80 degree day today so heat is not in issue. I bet there were a dozen men working and lots of equipment. Every man has a wad of worm dirt in their cheek. The back yard may well be squishy from all the spit and tobacco. Yuck.

Ewwwwww. Chewing tobacco is sooooo gross. It utterly disgusts me. I don't know how anybody could chew like that. Yuck.

Porsche-poor 05-08-2013 09:36 AM

yuck bad habits from hell.

GH85Carrera 05-08-2013 09:52 AM

I agree it is gross, but it does not stink as bad as cigarette or a cigar.

Well after many hours on the phone we have a plan for the kids. It is the best for all concerned but Beth is utterly destroyed.
They are going to be going up to pittsburgh with their father.
I may have issues with him, and I am going to drive his teeth down his throat but he is very good with the kids, and they are his kids.
He also has support there, down here Beth and I were the support, we have none.
I am really going to miss having the little ones here but the reality of it all is that we can't do it. :(

Porsche-poor 05-08-2013 10:05 AM

bummer. Well lots of road trips.

Jim Richards 05-08-2013 10:06 AM

It sounds like a reasonable solution for the grand kids, although it really sucks for you and Beth to not have them around.

Ditto on this. :( But you are acting in the best interest of the children. Stay strong, Rick.

Rick V 05-08-2013 10:16 AM

Then I can focus on trying to get my daughter into some kind of observation.
It is amazing I haven't started drinking again, that has been hard this week, but I got it covered
