From what I can tell, it seems that marriage and racecars/motorcycles don't go well together very often. ;)

I think that may depend a lot on geography. Around here, lots of gal's in racing, and a fair amount of females into motorcycles as well.

Of course, their favorite car is a Trans Am, they live in trailer parks, and like to smoke lots of beer too.

Around here the trailer park womens are ex stripper hair dressers.

I heard they put a few SR-71s away in storage so that they could be flight ready again, but I had not heard they ever got back into the air. They have to have a special tanker and fuel just to support them.

Back when the world was black & white and I was an infant my dad was stationed in Louisiana. He was a pilot and was working in intelligence. He was personally responsible for every document on the base and the safe storage of all of them. Since he had to verify what a document was he had security clearance to see them all, and was beyond top secret.

One day there was a big throng of people over by a hangar that was right on the way he went home. He headed that way and was stopped by security. They would not let my dad close, because it was all "need to know" only. If you are not on that short list, you are out.

A few years later he found out it was one of the first U2s.

Heya guys.

I'm feeling worn out. Glad there's only two days of the week left and looking forward to following it up with 10 days off.

Jim Richards 07-24-2013 04:39 AM

Hi Glen, Jeff. I envy you Jeff. I have to wait nearly 3 months before my next (10-day) work-cation. :(

G'day Azzy, Jim, Glen.

I'll be like that this break Jim. My next break will be Christmas/New Year. I may have to break up that stint with the odd RDO enhanced long weekend.

Morning everyone..... Anyone know of any tool maker jobs available. Dad is looking in the south central, Pa area. He is one hell of a Master Tool & Die Maker.

azzarule 07-24-2013 04:59 AM

mornin' Jeff, Andy, Glen,

I am on vacation for three weeks, had a very long day yesterday, a few short notice urgent things had to be done, but hopefully they are all sorted.

Driving up to Washington National this afternoon to pick up the biggest midget, woohoo, haven't seen him for almost 6 months.

He sounds like a guy I knew in Alabama. We were at his house and I saw some of his machine work and was impressed. He asked if I wanted to see his shop. I was floored. As a hobby he bought old Bridgeports, lathes, sheet metal brakes and the like to fix up and use. They were all works of art. Most of the stuff was manufactured in the 20s and 30s.

His shop was probably 10,000 sq feet of awesome.

time for breakfast, and the first lovely espresso for the day.

Am also excited that the biggest midget is also bringing me some more lovely coffee beans from Oz.

Looking forward to the mini Stijn get together on Saturday at Seahawks place.

If it is for mini Stijn folks Rick can't attend. He is way too tall to be called Mini.

Glen, you are really quite quick this morning, the wit is flowing over there

GH85Carrera 07-24-2013 05:18 AM

I am on my second cup of coffee!
