Good Monday morning folks.
Back at work after 5 days off. Well, I am at the office on the Stijn thread drinking company coffee and listening to Pandora. The scanner ran like a German engineered machine. It finished up on Saturday. Actually it was made in Austria but it is mostly German. Now Microsoft owns the company  We used to buy bulbs for less than 50 bucks. Microsoft took over and the price of bulbs immediately doubled, then tripled, than became unavailable unless we bought a service agreement. We found the same identical bulbs on the internet for $40. We had a choice of several grand per yer for the service agreement to have the honor of buying a high priced bulbs or $40 from a supplier in the states. Guess which way we went. ;) |
I dislike Microsoft because of that soft of thing. I've run email servers for a very long time, basically since they existed. In the beginning there was an anti-virus anti-spam software called Reliable Anti Virus or RAV. It was from a company in Romania, they had versions for every email server on every operating system and did a fantastic job. Absolutely zero virus and spam would get past it.
Then enter Microsoft. They bought the software company making and supporting RAV. Microsoft didn't increase the price, they killed it. And it wasn't to integrate the software into their own email server either as even today Exchange has not built-in anti-virus or anti-spam. With the explosion of spam and viruii after Microsoft shut RAV down the only conclusion I could logically come up with is that Microsoft is in the spam and virus business. As a point of content, back when viruii very first started Microsoft was the ONLY company showing any concern for software being copied and shared. And rumors were that Microsoft itself unleashed the first virus. They use fear of virus to get people to buy software instead of copy it AND you upgrade your computer after virus infections make it slow and crash a lot just because it's easier than cleaning it up. I only use Microsoft software because the company I work for forces me to. |
Morning all. Whatever got me down on Christmas day is still dragging me about. I'd love to just go back to bed. Instead I'll head to work and try and not sleep there.

Evening Y'all
Had a real good one today that cause my boss to get an earful. He asked us to work late today, I just laughed at him. I explaigned that I am expected to be at work at 7:30, that means ready to go and not walking in the door. I am expected to be back from lunch at one and working, by that thinking I am expected to go home at 5:30. he didn't like my idea. Guess what, I am now on the hunt again, I only took this job because I had run out of money. Well we worked about an hour over tonight and I cranked the stereo playing Bob Seager's, I feel like a number. That went over really well |
Beth wanted to know if it was "Moon Monday" I like that idea
|
There's supposed to be a new moon tonight, I'm just getting in a little early.
BTW, I'll apologise now for the random drunk posts later. :D |
I look forward to reading this tomorrow morning

We're checking into the casino this arvo so we don't have to worry about trying to get home blotto.
Starting the festivities with a pool party, then after hunting and gathering some tucker, there's a concert on the caz lawns (along with fireworks and all the fruit). |
