Bro lived in Atlanta. On the rare occasion they got ice or snow his driveway became a ski jump it was so steep. Whole place pretty much shut down.

My brother lives in Montgomery Alabama. They have just a little snow but some ice. It has stopped the city. Business are closed and of course school is closed. My brother went hunting since the place where he works is closed.

Woke up today to a couple inches of flurries, it is that real dry crap that doesn't stick to anything. Made cleaning it off a breeze.
I sold the Nikon scope that came on my 7 today for more then it is worth, some people should do their homework. I love Craig's List. By turning that profit into the cost of the spoon, and combining the discounts I got when I swindled the store for a lower price I am still close to $500 below retail for the whole setup.

I would love to work on it but it is 80 miles away (that's 2 hours in LA traffic) in my parents' garage during the week, and I don't have the precision instruments, work space, or patience to do engine work, even in my parents' garage. Suspension is what I love to do.

I am not sure if you are familiar with mfi pumps but there are only a few guys in the country with the proper tools and know-how to restore one. The pistons inside the pump that push the fuel out have very tight tolerances to their bores, so tight that there are no other seal separating the oil and fuel.

Computers I have no desire to learn how to fix major problems. Although, how hard can it be to open up a laptop and plug in a different hard drive?

My dad is a checkbook mechanic. I am trying to avoid going down that route completely.

I know how all the bits work together, but there is a difference between knowing how they work and knowing how to fix things. I am sure Rick knows both but just doesn't want to do the latter.

I'm considering plastidipping the Lotus rather than wrapping it. Looks like it's significantly easier to do a truly good job and a good bit cheaper as well. Either way, I'm gonna dip the wheels.

Bummed. The lead singer for Maragold removed the album if their set I posted on her FB page the other night. Their manager liked the hi res versions I emailed. Not sure what the deal is, but it's common.

Confirmed. Mfi pump binding. Pistons seized. Going to Gus tomorrow. Throttle bodies going out shortly thereafter.

As a geezer I can remember when the MFI pumps were first starting to get old and have problems. Very few mechanics are bright enough to figure them out. There was just one guy in town that knew enough to get a mechanical fuel injection car running right. The dealer back then was not able to do it. Lots of 911s had the MFI ripped off and carbs installed back then.

I remember back then telling myself to never get a MFI car. My Motronic systems is about right. Not stupid complicated, and it works real well. Just carry a spare DME relay! ;)
