Porsche-poor 09-15-2014 06:42 AM

yep that to. Working on that right out of the gate.

Jim Richards 09-15-2014 07:37 AM

Hola, y'all. Ain't Monday's grand?

GH85Carrera 09-15-2014 07:40 AM

OK, I will admit that when I friend sent me this link I laughed at the video. And for some reason I thought maybe a certain resident of OZ had produced this but them I realized the accent is wrong for that so he is innocent of something!

Rick, when we had issues with hornets I carried a tennis racket with me on the mower. They go right through the strings, but not all parts go through the same hole. Then you can step on them.

Did you sit in the back seat of the Mini to fit properly?

I would trade the 911 for a real Mini.

Joe, did you adjust your gym time to talk to your friend before lifting?

Emily had a parade in the morning on Saturday and then we went on a hay ride in the afternoon. Sunday was a lazy day. I should have mowed, but it will still be there later to cut. It isn't growing as fast now that it has cooled off a bit. I actually had to wear a jacket a while Saturday morning.

Monday just got stranger. The boss decided we needed to work on leadership. Now they want me to read Nehemiah. Yep a bible book.

Time for a vacation.

RKDinOKC 09-15-2014 10:31 AM

We had management training classes (plural) where we supposedly learned how to handle people by studying Proverbs. The company has a chaplain, a word of the day (scripture), and a weekly bible study.

Porsche-poor 09-15-2014 10:42 AM

I'm going to ignore it and see if I get fired.

RKDinOKC 09-15-2014 10:49 AM

If you did not attend or even got caught talking negatively about the proverbs bible study, you were fired for insubordination. One manager went in and complained privately and was moved to do work on the company farm clearing a fire break around perimeter of the square mile of unimproved property. Then retired when that project was finished.

Porsche-poor 09-15-2014 10:54 AM

well we don't have a company farm.

Ask him if you can study Korban instead. Korban - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Or tell him you always wanted to burn a bull and the office parking lot might be a perfect place to practice Leviticus 16:27

Be sure to call PETA before you light up the bull.

RKDinOKC 09-15-2014 11:02 AM

I would assume they are using Neimiah because the first part of it is about the rebuilding of the walls of Jerusalem and re-establishing laws despite opposition.

porsche4life 09-15-2014 11:06 AM

I would tell them that reading bible books is against my religious beliefs. If they try to force you to cry religious discrimination. That will shut them up!

Porsche-poor 09-15-2014 11:06 AM

all about leadership. so far I'm not impressed.............

Porsche-poor 09-15-2014 11:15 AM

we are supposed to be reading it for his project management skill not from a bible stand point. Well then why not find another book.

HHI944 09-15-2014 11:17 AM

Tell em that for every two pages you read, you want to be permitted to enact one edict from the koran......ya know, for religious equality and all...

HHI944 09-15-2014 11:19 AM

I'd start with properly addressing the fact that your boss is an infidel.

RKDinOKC 09-15-2014 11:49 AM

The way I explained it to the offended managers was.

The upper management is into Church and Bible Study so they are using a bible study program they found that they thing will put across how they would like to have managers treat employees. If they were into Star Wars or Treasure Island, the meeting would be sitting around and discussing the movies.

It seemed to help them deal with it.

It is not illegal to have a management training program in your own business using any materials you like. Especially if said materials mentions anything to do with management. You are NOT required to work there. The only things you have to be careful to offend is sex or race. There are not laws to provide a religious friendly workplace. There are laws for separation of church and state, not church and business. However, our Muslim President may change that.
