Well yeah but I am really not allowed to shoot here, I was just pissed and making a point. I was shooting down the sewer line that runs through the woods behind my place. But a regular range with any distance or open land to use is hard to come by here. Too many yankees here

I love SEALs.....they're entertaining....
Especially when they start talking $#!t to a former 1-75 guy...

nynor 12-31-2014 02:37 PM

i don't even have enough scope to see a soda pop can at 700 yards.... LOL!

6X24 Vortex Crossfire II

nynor 12-31-2014 02:39 PM

mine goes to 14.5.

Rick V 12-31-2014 02:42 PM

I will never be good enough with this long spoon to actually need that much glass but the price I payed, yeah I bought it

nynor 12-31-2014 02:45 PM

i bought the best i could afford at the time and ended up with a nikon buckmaster. the glass quality is amazing. my friend sold his leupold and bought the same scope. eventually, i may put it on the AR15 and get something big. i'll probably stick with nikon.

Rick V 12-31-2014 02:57 PM

My eyes are kinda whack, I do not get along with Nikon, I think I am the only one on the planet that can not get a clear picture with a Nikon. I have a Bushnell on the AR and it seems to be okay for me, even though Beth has claimed that spoon.
The Vortex, for me is just awesome, very clear and very adjustable, The eye relief and distance focal adjustments are just right for me. I like it not because I have one, I bought it because it fits my far sighted self. If I ever get the 110BA Vortex and NightForce are the only two options for me

Hey Rick, it is looking like only a light wintery mix - sleet in Oklahoma for Thursday and sleet or just rain on Friday. I do know the Oklahoma Turnpikes you would be on (I-44) is well maintained. The turnpike folks have the equipment and are on top of things. Texas only has a few salt trucks in Metro Dallas - Ft. Worth and the southern routes in Texas just don't see much snow but it looks like they are getting some now.

Just keep in touch and I can give you updates on local conditions. If you go the south route be sure to call the Texas Road conditions folks. If you are on the road and need an update just call or text me and I can google the conditions of any area you need info on.

Rick V 12-31-2014 03:33 PM

Yeah I think friday morning will be my deciding factor as the route. I have a killer weather app and a weather alert app that will give me warnings where I am. Beth also has two different ones and the car is a weather band radio. I'll keep in touch and feel free to call or text me if you have some info you think I need.
Sid said you were a weather nerd. :)

HHI944 12-31-2014 03:40 PM

Vortex makes some great glass.....their 1-4 viper PST has gained some popularity.

GH85Carrera 12-31-2014 06:21 PM

Guilty of being a weather nerd. I have a Vantage Vue on my desk at home. It monitors a weather station on a pole in my back yard. I have several wether apps.

HHI944 12-31-2014 08:18 PM

Hny...

Rick V 01-01-2015 03:41 AM
