I think he is the reason "Wise beyond his years" was invented. Or something was invented here either way. :)

Well it just SEEMS like it was a few years ago for high school. The math is compressed knowing I bought my 1974 914 brand new the year after I graduated HS.

It is mostly mental age and I am 12 or 14 going on 21.

That is how I developed my anodized aluminum colored beard.

And I have a pair of boots I bought before your wife was born, cradle robber!

Evening Y'all
Well before my plans to move to Tucson got scuttled, one of the things I was really really looking forward to was driving Lanna cross country, the long way.
Richard, take some epic road trips and if you happen to land in Va, I have spare bedrooms, you are more then welcome

RKDinOKC 03-30-2015 02:54 PM

The are a couple of 928 gatherings back that way. SC and don't remember where the one is they call Frenzy but its east coast.

Guy says his wife likes the car to and raised his as is offer to 60K. Says it will cost more than 20K to get oil usage fixed.

HHI944 03-30-2015 03:28 PM

What sayeth the brain trust?
I can snag a 02 MB CLK320 coupe/hatch thing with 149k for 1800.....ac is not cold, but as I recall, these are a clutchless deal that uses fancy vacuum blend doors? Whaddya think?

Oh Haha 03-30-2015 03:55 PM

Sorry if this sounds like a Facebook posting..

Daughter got all A's on her report card.

Son didn't but brought up all his grades 1 point or more. That is a major achievement for him.

Rick V 03-30-2015 04:03 PM

I remember the days of kids and report cards, man am I glad they are gone.
Joe, they are variable displacement compressors that never shut off. The HVAC is controlled by servos, at least they are in my 02 C.
140K on that clock is just breaking in decent

HHI944 03-30-2015 04:18 PM

Had a good bit of lifter noise on startup but it quieted down after a few minutes, suspect it just needs some fresh, heavier oil....

RKDinOKC 03-30-2015 04:39 PM

What? Not a British car, are you okay?

HHI944 03-30-2015 04:53 PM

I'd probably just clean it up and flip it.

RKDinOKC 03-30-2015 05:02 PM

I was beginning to thing the world was going to end or something.

Don't get lost on your journey!

porsche4life 03-30-2015 06:43 PM

Yup glen, thats a boring drive. I did it twice in two months, and did the ABQ to AZ run quite a few times last year. Lots of empty boring miles.

RKDinOKC 03-30-2015 07:00 PM

You guys are not making a trip to visit Thuy & Sid in AZ very appealing once the GTS is on the road.

Well, except for stopping and trying to eat that 64oz steak, then regret it for the next several hours.
