Do we know if Richard is ok?

Doesn't he live close to you Glen?

GH85Carrera 05-06-2015 05:25 PM

I am sure he is fine. He is just a mile east of me.

GH85Carrera 05-06-2015 05:51 PM

Crazy. 8 times tonight for the sirens to go off. So far everything is south of us. Downtown and south side has some flooding. The tornado is heading toward downtown Oklahoma City and the crazy storm is moving north WEST? I think that is illegal.

RKDinOKC 05-06-2015 06:13 PM

Napping hard and the sirens woke me up. Other than that we okay.

For a tornado makin storm it's moving way too slow.
If it was moving faster, bet it would be a lot more violent.
It is makin lot's of rain in one place. Some places reporting 6 to 8 inches in 2 to 3 hours.
Been drizzling off and on since yesterday.
They are saying some places getting 10 to 12 inches of rain in the last 24 hours.

GH85Carrera 05-06-2015 06:27 PM

Stijn!!

Richard, I talked to Grady and he has had over 8 inches of rain. I bet David has the same.

I don't remember hearing the sirens go off 10 times in a few hours like tonight. That is nuts. The storms are winding down now here.

Oh man, there go the sirens again. 11 times now.

HHI944 05-06-2015 06:35 PM

Holy crap! Stay safe y'all!

Well crap tacos.....the left antiroll ball joint let go on the lotus....trying to find one in the US

GH85Carrera 05-06-2015 06:48 PM

Stijn!!

Welp, a bakers dozen.

They really need to change the system. Any tornado reported in the county make all the sirens in the county wail. So a possible tornado 40 miles away and off go the sirens. I don't know what the solution is but something needs to change.

At least is was not an electrical failure!

GH85Carrera 05-06-2015 07:13 PM

With all the rain I can say for sure it was not a toad strangler. I can hear the first toad of the season calling all females. The pond is full!

RKDinOKC 05-06-2015 08:01 PM

Toad Strangler...

This one time a bunch of us were out driving around and stopped on a road by a local lake. It was night and it had rained earlier that day. We all piled back in the car. When I turned the headlights on to drive off, there in front of use was a puddle with a lone toad just jumping up and down in one place splashing in the water. It was one of the funniest (odd) things I've seen. Whenever someone says toad strangler i aways think of that lone toad just jumping up and down in place splashing in a puddle.

Holey Shiz. This online exchange migration is a major cluster copulation. Freakin idiots I work with in the IT department. The migration wouldn't have been too bad. The autodiscover would take care of updating most clients with the only interaction is the user clicking an okay button in a dialog box and restarting their client. BUT NOOOO.,,

These idiots decide our password policy isn't strong enough. They decide this is a good time to change everyone's passwords to meet the new requirements. Too keep users from making insanely easy to crack passwords I assigned passwords, locked the password so they could not change it and keep a password database so I can help forgetful users.

Also our internal domain is kimray.org. Everyone is used to using username@kimray.org for their login with their email being @kimray.com. But since the Office 365 login is the UPN or login instead of email address. Since maybe 20 of 600 users use web mail and might be confused by the kimray.org login (which they have been using on the current exchange web mail for 10 years) they idiots decide to change the login to kimray.com company wide. We have all kinds of services that authenticate using active directory. This change breaks all of that. AND because of the login change the new password is NOT distributed to other services.

So they have taken a relatively painless migration and due to lack of thought about what they are doing have turned it into a mess that is confusing users and making logging in to do their work a nightmare of trying to remember which login and which password to use where.

Arrrgh! No wonder users hate the IT department.
