Glad my Mom didn't have any paranoid illusions to go along with her dementia. The worst she had is she would dream about people visiting then come in and ask me where they went or occasionally ask me when we were going to go home.
The lady down the street from our old house thought she was being spied on. Said they were watching her thru the TV. One time she called telling us some men were out on the pole listening to her phone calls. About that time her phone went dead. She hadn't paid her bill and they were disconnecting her. She would come visit us after we moved and regail us with her stories. At one point she wrote a manifesto about being watched and wanted us to give to the FBI. "They" had camera's all over her house and were putting it on the internet and making millions off of it. She just wanted some of the money. Us and a couple of other neighbors kind of watched over her because she had no family. The other two neighbors were too close though and she constantly accused them of spying on her and stealing her stuff. She would yell at one neighbor from the time she drove in the driveway till she went in the house, luckily it was only when she came home from work. Any other time she was nice to her. That's how we discovered the lady had passed, she had stopped yelling at the neighbor for 3 days so the neighbor thought something might be wrong and had the police come check on her. It's tough to watch a loved one slip away, hope you have the strength and compassion to handle your situation to make her as comfortable as possible. |
Sorry to hear what will have to be done Saucy. It sounds like it's best for everyone.
Take care, friend. |

The truck actually belongs to a fellow pelican who was over seas when it had to be hauled out of Atlanta and he shipped it to me to get everything fixed on it. I am actually just storing it and playing. He is letting me hang onto it to haul the vets in it, my payment for the effort it took to get it here and right. I would love to have it but I have zero need for it. |
Does any civilian NEED that truck? It is a big boy toy. Cool toy but not necessary.

It will end up being a support unit for large equipment repair on site

Anybody want to go show some rentals to my client tonight? I can already tell they are the type that will want to waste a ton of my time. Don't mind that with buyers, but with renters we have to be swift because the paycheck is only a couple hundred bucks. By the time I figure in expenses I can very easily be making less than minimum wage!
|
Showing rentals? Is that some kind of dues paying gig for a newbie realtor, Sid?

Yuck, putting on a tie and showing a rental property in the AZ heat. It will build memories of "back in the old days" in a few decades. |
I thought people used craigs list for rentals, housing and other wise
|
Glen, I don't wear a tie! It's been breathable golf polos since mid April out here!
Jim, to some extent yes, but even the seasoned agents do it in certain cases. Referral from a good client, renter who might buy in a year, etc... And Rick, yes lots more rentals on CL, zillow, and trulia than are listed with a realtor. I tell my clients that as well. If they want to pursue those they either need to pay for my services, or understand that they will be going unrepresented in the process. |
If showing rentals doesn't pay enough, you need a stronger pimp hand. Let them B's know they are your property.
|
Richard, I think he is a realtor not a pimp. :D
|
oh, I thought rentals might be code.
|
Lol nope. But.... The last one we looked at was certainly in a neighborhood where you would be able to rent some... ;)
Every time I go to that part of town I kick myself for not bringing my carry piece out with me. Nothing like showing a house with no power after dark in a bad neighborhood to get your spider senses tingling. |
Oi you silly bloody tropical plants, it's bloody winter?

Not here.
Morning Y'all |
Go back in the archives and look at some of the pictures from New England this last Winter, I don't think there were any tropical plants !

Hmmm, just got up outta my comfy lounge chair and had a dizzy spell walking to the kitchen. So I grabbed my BP monitor and sat back down again to check my BP. 113/64, hmmm. I'm normally hypertensive and meds keep me in the range of 120-130/80-85.
I've been having a few dizzy spells over the last week or so, but this is the first time I've gone and grabbed the BP monitor. I just put it down to this cold I've had for the last few weeks. I think it may be time to visit my quack and have a chat. |
Jeff, it sounds like you need to do all the ba-a-ad things that increase BP, like smoking, drinking, and eating lots of red meat and salty foods.* Now, doesn't that sound like a fun prescription? :D
* Non-doctor advice. |
Good Humpday morning normal people. Good evening Jeff.
Rick quick avert your eyes and scroll past this picture. ;) http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1433939424.jpg Jeff, THIS is what winter looks like in Yankee land. Fortunately we never see that much crap around here.:eek::eek: |
