No, lower on the list. Freaking DENNY'S!

My normal rule for vacations is no big chains I can get at home.

There are not many restaurants in the area. Her blood sugar was getting low so she HAD to eat right away. I understand that but Denny's. Oh well I have had worse food.

This hotel was built in 1904. It is way cool and beautiful. It was updated a few years ago so it is modern. Google the West Baden Spa and hotel. It is not the French Lick Resort but the West Baden Spa.

I will shoot some pics in the daylight.

Cool old poster of the place.

Some in Northern Kentucky and as far west as Indianapolis. Nothing in NE Ohio. West Ohio, yes. Never have been there. 2 hours away to closest for me.

You can get the sauce via mail but suspect not the same as being there.

I like Denny's, you can just point at pictures to order.

This stuff is good.... Dangerously good! Goes down like a good old fashioned root beer, but packs a 5.9% punch! ;) http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1434864746.jpg

I warned Thuy to be careful when I opened it. Beer hits her hard and this stuff doesn't taste like beer at all.

Morning Y'all
Looks like the biblical rains are gone, damn it hit hard last night

Nice nails, Sid! Not that there's anything wrong with dark and sparkly nails... ;)

Sometimes a guy just has to feel pretty!

Morning all. I was up early to do basic de-bug clean up car wash.

They have had a LOT of rain here and the grassy field in the front of the hotel is under water. The humidity is 120% or so. Less than Savannah was but not by much.

Rick V 06-21-2015 03:54 AM

Yeah that srorm front that came through the eastern third yesterday dumped massive amounts of rain everywhere

Jim Richards 06-21-2015 04:10 AM

Yep. We got hammered by the heavy rains. At first, we also had hail. This morning, the neighborhood park is more of a swamp.

We're going to get new tires on the beater Jetta today. Lu wants me to drive it to SoCal when we bug out of DC permanently. I'd just as soon donate it to some charity. Oh well.

Jim, lets get that seat fixed before you make that trip

GH85Carrera 06-21-2015 10:47 AM

We got registered for Parade and did some exploring.

We went to main hotel on a modern Mercedes transport Van. We came back on a state of the art 1930s trolley.

We loaded up here.

We were dropped off back at our hotel.

Stijn!!

The front lobby has a dozen or so doors like this.

I asked an employee what the standard room rate was.
$350. Per night! I am glad the club worked a good deal for the room. A lot cheaper that that price.

porsche4life 06-21-2015 11:57 AM

Looks like fun Glen. Hopefully I can make it to parade one of these years.

Next Year is in Vermont. We will be coming to see Pete!

Jim Richards 06-21-2015 12:34 PM

Pete will have snowplow duty for the event. ;)
