I wold prefer a beer assistant! ;)

Amazing weather. 4:00 Pm and it is 75. I played in the garage for a while. I put my wheels back on the 911.

Jim Richards 09-19-2015 02:22 PM

It's nice here, too. Although I'd still rather be in SoCal.

Got the Turbo corrected and running silly fast again. the new boost hoses just needed a little nudging to gain more room around the bottom bumper brackets. We also replaced the oil pressure switch while in there.

"In there" on a 996 means that you have removed the rear engine mount nuts enough to drop it down about 3 inches. This allows your hand enough room to get between the rear window shelf and the top of the engine.

It was a good day spent with my friend and another car guy getting the job done. Once it was back together I was offered the maiden drive. It runs great! Like stupid fast great.

Noah930--Mike is cool with you getting in touch to discuss running costs and what not. Just send him a PM. He can explain what he has done to his car up to this point.

Morning all. We are watching the F1 race. Strange to see the start with different faces up front.

Well, brother with MS is not doing very well at all.

He has Trigeminal Neuralgia. It is hurting for about an hour at a time now and is totally incapacitating. SIL says he can't move at all during an attack and is getting very weak due to complications caused by the MS. He has an appointment at the Mayo Clinic as all the local doctors and specialist have not been able to help, including brain surgery. It is said to be the most painful thing in medicine today. Many people with this pain commit suicide.

Went to lunch with him just last week and he seemed about the same. He is officially retiring as CEO this week, but will still Chair the Board, and has been planning a vacation trip for over a year to Boston in Oct. Before his Mayo Clinic appointment.

I've told them just call I will be happy to come over and help. He lives directly across the street behind my house. No calls yet except questions about their computers and I have been able to answer those over the phone.

Understand one of his grandkids moved in with them to help this evening. He is supposed to be in College.

Best wishes for an improvement in your brother's condition, Richard.

The Pope is dropping in on DC this week. I guess it's gonna really clog up traffic and even commuting on the Metro trains. I think I'm going to work at home while he's in town.

Oh Haha 09-21-2015 03:49 AM

Sorry to hear about your brother's decline Richard. I don't really know what to say but we will keep you and yours in our thoughts.

GH85Carrera 09-21-2015 04:26 AM

That sucks about your brother Richard. I sometimes stop and think how lucky I have been to have no real disabilities or constant pain. One of my friends fought with MS for many long years.

Welp, I guess it is a Monday again.
