Saw the new Lego Batman movie today with the kids. Overnight rain resulted in the cancellation of today's flag football games. My kids and I really enjoyed the flick. We laughed through the whole thing. Better than The Lego Movie.

Don't get any of it on you. There are two working environments where the same chemicals are prevalent and there is a high rate of Parkinson's. Farming where bug and weed killers are used, and Paper mills. The area in your brain that is what Parkinson's effects deteriorates naturally as you age. Exposure to those chemicals also deteriorates it. Enough repeated exposure combined with age and lose enough you get Parkinson's. Most people the natural deterioration isn't enough to be a problem. But if you get exposed to too much of the chemicals or you can get enough when younger the natural deterioration will be enough more to cause problems.

When I found out I started wearing a Tyvek suit and gas mask to fertilize, weed kill the yard or spray our garden and fruit trees for bugs.
My Dad thought I was crazy because had taken care of gardens spraying stuff all his life. The last couple of years he was alive he started getting Parkinson's. He passed when he was 72.

Yep, covered me all up an donned a twin cartridge mask and goggles. Hit the shower immediately after.

It's not just breathing it, don't get it on your skin either. That's why I wore those Tyvek chemical suits as well. Not getting it on your skin is better than getting it on your skin and then washing it off.

Pepper got a bath, haircut, her nails trimmed, and the hair between her toes trimmed couple weeks ago. Pepper likes going to the groomer, but is super happy and excited to see me and likes leaving just as much as getting there. Her groomer says it takes about 30 minutes for her to calm down enough to groom her. (I think she was talking about Pepper?) Said Pepper jumps right up on the table and stands still for her. Whatever happens there Pepper sleeps the rest of the day after getting home.

Oh Haha 02-12-2017 05:12 AM

That was a long night. We went to a nice dinner at my wife's favorite restaurant and then drove and hour and a half to see the play my friend is in. It was awesome and funnier than all get out.

It was almost 10:30 when we left there to drive another 45 minutes to the club where my drummer bud was playing. We drove through and saw that people were standing outside, waiting to get in. We decided to keep going. As much as I wanted to check out the band, I knew that the wife wanted to be home.

I couldn't tell you the last time we were both awake after midnight. Yeah, we lead an exciting life.

Good Morning.

Jeff, to us Americans that's 116°F. Sounds like Summer out in Sidney AZ. Though Alice Springs was quite a ways from Cooper Pedy.

Wayne, when first started driving my Dad told me..."If your not in bed by 10:00pm, come home and get some sleep."

Guy that works at a local guitar store (that's the phone number he first had me call him at) is supposed to call and come look at the Cayenne today. He has never owned a Porsche before.

When my friend from Austin came buy, told me he almost couldn't keep his wife from buying the Cayenne. She really really wanted it. They would NOT be good Porsche owners. It's not that Porsches are bad, you just have to pay attention to them. If you let what seems like it might be something small go without having it checked out, it can easily become a very expensive disaster. They drive their cars into the ground before taking them in to be serviced. I think it's more him than her though. Since he doesn't work and the Porsche shop isn't open on weekends, he would be the one that would have to take it 12 miles to get it serviced. The dealerships they buy cars from are 4 miles away, and are open on Saturday so she takes her own car in on a Satuday.

Morning all. Jeff, that is pretty toasty warm. We only get close to that on very rare occasions. Phoenix gets there all the time. That is the payback for the wonderful winter they have.

Picked up a really big deck box from sams club yesterday (8ft long, 4ft wide, 4.5ft tall) to put my small work bench and tool chest in. Got it assembled last night and got my stuff in it today. Now I'm Smoking a pork loin and relaxing.

RKDinOKC 02-12-2017 09:48 AM

Joe, thought you liked smokin cigars?

I actually put the end of a cigar in with the charcoal. It smelled insane

GH85Carrera 02-12-2017 09:54 AM

So Joe, yer really big deck fits in the box? Hmmmmm

We made the longer trek to the grocery store now that the store we went to closed. The new place is a much nicer store. Better selection and bigger and nicer store. Several miles further away but not bad. Easy checkout process.

That is done.

You can smoke with all kinds of burny flavors, rubs, and injections. Big thing in recent years is whisky or bourbon in the BBQ sauce. But imagine you could soak the wood chips in bourbon as well. And you might as well enjoy a highball while the chips are soakin.

I'm still enjoying the differences in charcoal, hickory, apple, pecan, cherry, and mixes of them.

For lunch I had a Roy Roger's Double R Bar Burger. Hickory grilled burger with black forrest ham, cheddar and BBQ sauce. Tasty.

Glen, was it the Homeland on Bryant?

HHI944 02-12-2017 11:56 AM

The pork loin is resting on the cutting boards. The bacon on top is awesome. Gonna dig in in just a few minutes.

RKDinOKC 02-12-2017 12:09 PM

My recipe calls for wrapping in foil and letting it rest for 30 minutes once the internal temps reach 140°F inside. Think it is so the juice solidifies into the meat so it don't all run out as you cut the meat up.

GH85Carrera 02-12-2017 12:36 PM

Yep Richard. That is the store we used. We had been there before years ago.

We kept procrastinating on the storage shed clean out. Yesterday was 88 degrees so too hot. This afternoon was 59 degrees light overcast and low winds for Oklahoma. So the storage building has been cleaned. Golly that was fun. Only one large trash can to go to the curb. Several things to go to the recycle center for disposal. Phew.

RKDinOKC 02-12-2017 05:01 PM

Wonder if a grocery store would do very well with meat cuts in realistic sizes for singles or couples.
Like 8 oz steaks, 1lb roasts, 1lb pork loin, etc. without making them paper thin so you could cook them properly.

Tried going to a butcher an not only were all the cuts too big, the prices were outrageously expensive.

What ever happened to the meat departments with a butcher that would make cuts the size you want?
