I have never worked at a normal corporate place. I have worked for an individual that owned the company sole proprietorship all my life. Now to get even with the boss for making me work on the weekends I just sleep with his wife. ;)
The job I worked at the longest was at a business called Pro Photo. We were a commercial photo lab. The bosses wife was trying to tell me how to shoot a copy negative and she was obviously dumber than a box of rocks. I stopped and walked away from her tirade of BS and went right to the boss man. I asked him point blank, who is the boss here, you or your wife? He said he was. I told him of the load of BS his wife was trying to tell me about copy negatives and why she was wrong and he said "ignore her" and do it your way. I went right back in and shot the negatives right and she just jabbered along like a little dog yapping. I pulled the darkroom door shut in her face and processed the film. When I came out she was still waiting to bark at me. I totally ignored her for several years. Best thing that ever happened was she became a grandma and when home to play daycare granny. |
morning all. my head is about to explode. After days of crappy air to breathe I need pure oxygen I think.

David - Turn her over!
Sorry couldn't stop myself. |
LOl. you funny. you try breathing smoke for 4 days. my eyes won't quit watering and the sinus system is on strike.

Oh boy, the HR Director tried to get me in trouble this morning for adding a new hire to AD and giving them email. Was told by my boss to add the new hire becuase that person was going to get training (they are paying for personally) before they actually start and needs a company email to attend. Think the HR Director is looking for excuses to try to get rid of me.
She should have contacted my supervisor about the issue instead of sending me an email about how I am not following procedures and should be disciplined for it cc'ing my supervisor. She should be going thru the employees supervisor and NOT directly contacting the employee. She is the one they need to be getting rid of for not following procedures! Going to have to start documenting everything. I really hate working in an environment where I have to document what I am told to do to keep from getting fired. Especially since I have worked there for 37 years! |
certainly makes it no fun. She is just playing games.

When those kind of people play games that can get me fired and at the least keep me from getting pay raises...The last supervisor that did that I showed up in his office with a shotgun. Pretty much put an immediate stop to that crap.

But the computer will make the straight lines for you. What they connect to may not be right, but they will be straight!

The man did illegally carry a pistol in his back pocket. Thought my expression of displeasure with being purposefully kept from pay raises for his amusement was rather apropos.
When someone like this goes against me thinking they are in a position of power over me...they darn sure better not be doing anything wrong themselves. I take that first stone thing very seriously. Have found showing meekness on my part authority figures are expecting reaction, don't know how to deal with it and end up hanging themselves. Hence the accusal of not following procedures this morning. The email she sent me this morning lets me know for sure it's on. She does not have anything to do with new hires. specifically the processes of setting up computers, logins, emails etc.for them. Yet lambasts me for doing something I was specifically told to do. Just wonder how many times she is going to pull this crap before I have a case to stop it. Just not very happy that I have to start documenting everything to defend myself against a lying personnel director. |
If it was smokey like that here, I'm afraid I would have take some kind of emergency vacation to somewhere it wasn't smokey.
Planning a smoke free weekend trip? |

Yikes.
Have to mention Amway's Nutrilite DoubleXX daily vitamins. Put Mom on those after she was diagnosed with breast cancer. They took her right breast within 3 days of the diagnosis, much too quickly. She had lumps in both breasts. Only one lump in the right had turned to cancer. At her next mammogram they were expecting the left to start because had same sort of lumps. Instead all the lumps were gone. Even the x-ray technician made comments about it. Had a maid to help keep the house clean taking care of Mom. The maid's daughter-in-law was diagnosed with breast cancer. Told her about the Nutrilite and she got it for her DIL. DIL was putting off the surgery. After 2 months of the vitamins Doc did another mammogram and decided that they had misdiagnosed her because they couldn't find anything. I just feel obligated to let people know. My SIL has had 3 operations since spring due to breast cancer. She thinks the vitamins are a sham. My brother (her husband) was diagnosed several years ago with prostate cancer. He was doing all kinds of research to find the best treatment. Had him take Nutrilite. After a couple of months he went to Cali to get proton therapy. They couldn't find the cancer the local docs had found but did the therapy on his prostate anyway because his PSA was too high (he has MS). |
