My wife's friend from 3rd grade spent the night, and again tonight. Once before when she visited we took her to a local great Cajun restaurant. She fell in love with it. So we are eating there again. It is good food!

Morning all. Finally feel normal.........well as normal as can be at this point. Brother came over yesterday to take some power tools off my hands. He will put them to good use wood working.

We had a really nice day today weather wise. 72 degrees and sunny.

Tomorrow is gonna suck, wind, rain and possible snow! Then on Sunday back to 60 and 70s after that.

I was going to wash the El Camino, but we will be going out to the Porsche club regional lunch, and it would get filthy again. So maybe on Monday or Tuesday it can get washed.

David, I am glad you are felling better.

I am a certified wood butcher. So I am hiring a guy to come put in some slide our shelves under the gas cook top. Right now we have to get on hand and knees to play move stuff out of the way to get to the stuff that we need. A slide out shelf will be great. It supports 125 pounds, so lots of strength and our cooking stuff can't be more than 50 pounds.

It is Mrs. Carrera's Christmas present. Just getting a guy to come over is the challenge.

Afternoon all. Today is a good day so far. Lets see if a nap comes up soon or if I sleep thru the night.

Today is our dog's favorite day!

They get to eat an hour early as far as they are concerned. They want daylight savings time spring forward every week. Soon we would be getting up at midnight to feed them, and they would be fine with that.

It is nice to have more daylight time in the afternoon.

Today is the day to change the antifreeze in the El Camino. It is three years old, and likely losing the anti-corrosion properties. So out wit the old, and in with the new.

It is supposed to be 72 this afternoon, so no worries of it freezing, just keeping it cool and corrosion free. I might also change the brake fluid if the antifreeze changes goes easily as it should.

I am starting a 10 day water-only fast today in Santa Rosa CA. The fast is medically supervised.

Damn, that does not sound like fun. Good luck.

I did manage to change the antifreeze in the El Camino. I have never changed it in the 911. ;)

I also changed the brake fluid in the Elky. Both fluids had been in there to 3 years. I change the brake fluid in the 911 every spring. It is due as soon as I can get to it.

I had to do about 11,392.6 sit on the ground, and stand back up motions and my legs are a bit sore. I was too tired to wash it, so that is this afternoon's task.

I have a few little chores to do on the El Camino. Take the instrument cluster apart, and lubricate the speedometer and the cable. After a few minutes on the highway it starts to chatter. That is a mostly sit down operation.

The fun of owning old high mileage 80s cars is there is always, just always something minor to tinker with. It is just part of the hobby of owning old cars. Both cars get compliments regularly. The El Camino gets way more than the 911.

The bad news is there is no way I could have an affair. I have friends tell me they saw me in various places. I want to have an affair almost as much as having facial tattoos, and a dozen piercings and setting my hair on fire.

Its not horrible in the least. An absolute chill. Very relaxing and will be a system reboot when complete. Water fasting has many beneficial affects to the body. If you have high blood pressure or type 2 diabetes (I don’t have either) for example, the results can seem miraculous.

I’m at a clinic (TrueNorth Health) so you are medically supervised. Docs check your vitals every day.

Morning all. Today is a good day and tomorrow starts round 4 I hope. Still have not a clue if its working or not.

GH85Carrera 03-11-2025 10:22 AM

David, just keep positive and plugging along.

I am having fun with taxes. The business tax forms have to be filed by the 15th of March. Since it is a LLC, no taxes to pay for the LLC, it is all paid by the owner(s) of the LLC.

The company taxes are filed, so now I just get to learn how much money Uncle Sam the business partner that just takes and takes, and does no work wants me to pay him.

GH85Carrera 03-12-2025 02:09 PM

I gave my legs a rest today and just did computer work. I had sent my company files to the CPA, and did not update the books while he was doing his part. He sent them back, and I had to do a week of updates. Phew.

Tonight is the local region's board meeting. It is at a brewery, and golly I might have to try one of their brews. IPAs are so popular, but I hate them. Hopefully they have some lagers.

Third day of the fast. 84oz yesterday, aiming for 96oz today.

Had a chiropractic session that featured the graston process to break up scar tissue. I feel more limber now with that and the other work he did. The bruises will heal.

astrochex 03-13-2025 05:34 AM

Day 4 underway. Reached 96oz goal yesterday. I’ve lost almost 6lb since the first day of the fast.

Had bloodwork done early and everything is good including PSA.

astrochex 03-13-2025 07:26 AM

Happy Birthday David http://forums.pelicanparts.com/suppo...artysmiley.gif

Its a wonderful thing to read to children. Hope the virtual doc visit goes well.

Porsche-poor 03-13-2025 07:35 AM

Thanks. These will be around later when the kids decide to have more grandkids. Grandma will make sure they get to listen to the old man tell tales.

GH85Carrera 03-13-2025 06:28 PM

Happy Birthday David.

flipper35 03-14-2025 06:16 AM
