Woohoo!
Family business done with and we're on our own for a few days. Real nice listening to the surf with a beer in my hand  |
I just heard from Brent. 3:20 ETA for them. I alerted Richard. We will be there.
We had a great autocross today. It really makes me miss the old track we used. This is a nice site, but it is just a large slab of smooth abrasive concrete. All we can do is the sea of pylons autocross. It takes a few runs to learn the course. The old track was a road course, and impossible to get lost. We used gates to tighten it up, but we could have lots more fun. It is way better now than just some asphalt parking lot with the occasional pedestrian or bike rider cutting across the lot. Been there, done that. It is a thrill to come cooking out of a corner with your foot buried on the floor and look ahead and see some dipstick on a bike pedaling across the lot wondering why there are cones everywhere. Not a good thrill mind you, but just a thrill. No worries about that now. |
Nice lunch, great to meet you guys!
|
Yea, burp. It was nice to “meat” the little flippers. ;)

Hey, wake up its MONDAY morning. I made the difficult commute down the hall. The traffic was light, both dogs were in bed so no dogs to step over. Mrs Carrera was in bed when I kissed he goodby before "going to work."
Did my email and wrote up an estimate. Gotta go chase some new clients. |
Don't forget to put the trash out to the curb this morning.
Kinda difficult for me to remember. Being single I only generate enough trash to empty my indoor trash can to the outdoor trash bin every other week. So, can easily get by with dragging my bin to the curb only once a month. Shouldn't I get a discount on my garbage collection bill? If I had a trash compactor it would be even less! Really liked my electronic eye trash can until Pepper figured out how to open it, get stuff out, chew it up and scatter it. And no she doesn't get the stuff out that smells like food. She likes the crinkly sounding stuff and pasteboard like cereal boxes. And why do they even sell those pig ear dog chews, none of my 3 dogs would even touch them. And those rawhide bone things with the knot in each end. They just chew them in half, then they are done with them. |

iBuenos Dias, y'all! |
It was great to meet everyone. Time sure flies though. I was disappointed Jeff is doing retirement practice and didn't show up. :(

Last night I was wondering how many people that have posted on this thread that I have met face to face.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1508163337.jpg I have highlighted in yellow the people I have met. The list does continue on if you count some low number posters. Grosebeck Hurricane has 3 post and Racerbvd has 2 posts so technically that are on the list, but it is like cheating to consider them. I tried to meet up with Rick when I was up in the NE but he has tied up in something and we could not get together. I had to make all sorts of excuses to avoid meeting up with Porsche-poor! :p I am not sure why HHI944 and I did not meet up. I was in Savannah for a week. Maybe he was out of town that week, I just don't remember. |
Morning all. Just caught up after being gone a week. Looks like everyone was having a good time while I was away.

I was thinking on the way to the hotel those jokes about the IT Director where I work probably make more sense now.
|
Thought you said you were the IT Director where you work?
Was it something Kevin Mitnik said, did you get brain hacked? That's what Mr. Social Networking Hacker does. |
Yea, it is a little clearer.
My wife has an errand that I was informed that I "need" to do with her this afternoon. I told her I was going to have to fill out a lot of paperwork with the HR department to apply for a few hours of personal time on a work day. I was going to have to see if the boss would approve the time off and that jerk was likely to dock my pay or make me work a lot over unpaid overtime. He can be a real jerk. I get even with him though, I sleep with his wife! ;) |

Careful, that place looks like it has traps!
|
And likely very deadly snakes, spiders, lizards, insects, birds, and other vermin. ;)
Fortunately Jeff is there with a stick in his hand! And a beer in the other hand. :p Good no longer Monday everyone. I got the letter form the IRS yesterday that the big boss at the IRS has agreed to close the audit. No changes at all, nothing was wrong and we can all hold hands and sing Kumbaya. Our CPA came out the big winner. His bill was bigger than what I paid for a brand new VW bug in 1973, and a year of gas, and insurance. OUCH. Kinda like a doctor, expensive but good to know they are there in an emergency. |
morning all. Lets hope they go back to the ones who said you needed and audit and give them the same treatment.
