Passed my vision test. Still 20-20 and no change to prescription. My current glasses are 4 years old and getting a little beat up. I walked next door to the optometrist. I ordered some new lenses for my current glasses. My eyes are still dilated so things are a little blurry and BRIGHT.

David, our Rogue is a pretty bad ride, but the price was right. Almost.

I am, but only because we own one.

Well the only way I'm getting a new ride is for the kids to get done with college at this point. Unless I sell the 911 for big bucks.
|
My mother in law gave the Rogue to us because they were getting nothing on trade and she thought it would be a good vehicle for our daughter when she goes to school. I imagine she (daughter) will want to replace the head unit since it sucks. I have had only one other vehicle that the OEM sound system was this bad and that was a 1978 Ramcharger.

About the time "winter" weather is over will probly get the Cayenne back.
Front bumper cover was expedited to get here in 2 weeks. That was 4 weeks ago, still no part. The radio doesn't suck as much as it is a 2004 and no CarPlay. Why do they put radio control buttons on the steering wheel? It's not like the radio itself isn't within easy reach. |
so you and the passenger can fight over the tunes.

Friend was planning to by my CayenneS for his daughter in college. His wife thought the Cayenne would be unreliable and break down on her. His in-laws gave them their Range Rover HSE and got a new one. 3 tines now she only made it half-way back to college in the Rover. He says for the price he can afford to fix it, but he doesn't like his college age daughter being stranded 500 miles from home or school.

Mess with my radio while I'm driving without permission and you get put to the curb.

Dang it is bright in here.
We flew a project Sunday and I got started processing on it last night. It will not be done until tomorrow. The stereo in the El Camino is not too bad, but it only has two little bitty 3 inch speakers in the dash. The Porsche has decent speakers in the doors and the rear shelf. My wife's Macan has a stereo that is awesome. She like XM satellite radio and has a subscription. I have not listen to regular radio in many years. |
I miss not having the buttons on the wheel in the Nissan. I guess you get used to them. Even our old 2000 truck has them.

Both my Elky and 911 stereo came with a remote control. Dumbest idea ever. I don't use the remote when I can reach the stereo easier than the remote.

Glen, I can see the remote being used in a large vehicle at a tailgate party. |
I'm betting she would say you were a good little boy......what happened?

928 guy at the Third Coast GTG had a video projector in his car that he opened the rear hatch and put a screen on the opening. Kinda wild playing movies at a tailgater.
It was pretty fun when he put a wifi camera on a hat and passed the hat at the party with the video on the screen. Then someone got the bright idea to use a drone with a wifi camera. Only problem was no-one was sober enough to fly it and show more than taking off then crashing. Still pretty funny though. Think the idea was to peeping drone in the hotel windows and show it on the big screen on the back of the car. Probably a good thing nobody could fly it. |

An early good morning.
Glad I don't work the help desk. Somehow the phone system got completely erased. No extensions, nothing works. Last week the new IT Director turned on the phone integration in Office365 without discussing it with anyone. Think there is a reason it wasn't on. The guy that manages the phones is a bit upset. |
Morning all.
Yea, David, I guess a remote at a tailgate party might be useful. Since I have never been to a tailgate party, I will have to just assume it is possible. I do realize that other people are different than me and have different activities. It is just a totally useless remote for my needs, so it gets shoved in the glove box to be out of the way. I should just throw it away but that "I might needed it someday" things pops up. The stereo was only $80 so it is not just for high end systems. |
