There are very few places Emily would not want to visit.

It is sounding like if Oklahoma does not make their driver's licenses more of a proof of identification us Okies will need to get a passport to either get thru TSA to fly commercially, or visit gubberment buildings. I don't understand remember having to provide a burp certificate to prove I was who I said I was when I first got my first driver's license.
Also remember my brother was supposed to take my Mom to get her driver's license renewed for an ID after she stopped driving. It required her burp certificate and all that because he let her license expire. Think he let it expire on purpose to make sure she couldn't use it to drive. It would have been a whole LOT easier to just get it renewed and made it ID only before letting it expire. |
Good Morning, supposed to get colder all day long today.
Bro Bob called me last night. Moved his Mac computer to a different location and now it doesn't work. He had not plugged in the monitor AND the batteries were dead on the wireless keyboard and mouse both. Says he has 5 sets of wireless keyboards and mice. All of them the batteries were dead. Told him since he was on a budget to buy a wired keyboard and mouse. Said he couldn't afford it. Batteries are $5. You can get a cheap wired keyboard and mouse for $15. He said I didn't understand. Told him I gave him my old iMac because I was tired hearing about him getting viruses and malware and having to pay Geek Squad to keep cleaning his computers up. And that it seemed like with 5 computers he could sell some of them and get a wired keyboard and mouse. Then he would have a computer that was a whole lot less likely to get malware and wouldn't have to keep buying batteries to be able to use. Have been telling him for 15 years he needs to dump his PCs and get a Mac. He say's I don't understand he can't afford it. Then goes out and spends more money on keeping his PCs running. In that time he has gotten 5 desktop PCs, and none of them work because they are loaded down with malware and virus's (he clicks on anything he receives in emails to check it out) despite paying Geek Squad $300 a year to help him keep them running. Nope, I don't understand. |
For some reason I am hungry for steak and eggs this morning.

Morning all.
It is a mite bit breezy today. 26 MPH winds. For sure Texas sucks and Kansas blows. Jim, the big storm you had came east into Kansas and points further north east heading towards Pete. The bad news for us is that storm pulls the weather fronts around and opens the door for them dang Canadians to ship down a bunch of cold air. Oh well, I guess it is the dead of winter. |
Oh boy, get to go have a tooth cleaned today.

Oh have already had a root canal, extraction, and a cavity filled. Going to get at least one cleaned today then schedule more work. Going to have to get the root canal crowned, then a bunch of other small cavities filled. Evidently the nail blood infection thing has caused dry mouth that is making a lot of cavities. That nail really effed up my life.

well that sucks. I hope it gets better soon.
|
We are getting more rain this morning but then the temps are dropping from 42* to 18* this afternoon. I am guessing it will stop raining and switch to something else.
|
It has dropped almost 10 degrees since I got up and there is a very very light blowing snow. It does not stick to anything and it only shows up in a wave going across a dark parking lot. The wind chill is brutal.
|
It started out in the low-40s this morning and will only make it to the mid-60s. Brrrr.
|
27* this morn. with a little rain. Driveway was fine... dirt roads ok.....blacktop......like a bottle.
|
Yup. Everything is nice and shiny now.

She numbed up my mouth so much my nose went numb too, but just my nostrils. My teeth all feel loose. My lips feel gigantic and my nose feels like it is running but it is dry.
She said she was doing some deep cleaning so novacained me up. Went really really slow, didn't even feel the needle start. Spent more time shooting the novacaine that spent cleaning. Didn't feel a thing but think it was the most anyone has ever numbed me up. |
FRIDAY.
Think that stands for Friggin Cold Day. 13 now with predicted high of 35. Had to bump my thermostat up from 71 to 72 because it just felt cold. |
Yea, it is stupid nippy out there.
I sure like my commute on these cold days. The dogs are cold so they stay in their bed and that means no traffic on the mosey down the hall to my office. My office is on the far north east of the house and my desk is right next to the window. All the other bedrooms have a return in the room for the central heat and air, except this room. It gets colder in the winter and hotter in the summer than the other rooms. If and when we have to replace the AC system with the new refrigerant system I will have the folks add a return to this room and a bigger vent. This room is the furthest away from the furnace. TGIF. |
Glen, does your office have a floor register?
If so I have one of those floor register boosters you set over the register. It uses the temp difference between the vent and room to run a fan to draw more air thru the register while the central air is running to put more hot or cold air in the room. Used it on my brothers room before putting in a window AC unit to keep the room cool enough for him without freezing the rest of the house. Because of his MS if it got above 70° for very long he would become paralyzed. Needless to say, it was not very comfortable for my Mother and I trying to keep the rest of the house cool enough to keep his room at 70. Besides it was pretty expensive in the summer time. Saw it packed away in a dresser drawer the other day. You are welcome to it. Maybe it will help. |

|
Don't feel alone missing out on the 3 day weekend.
