I can but I don't think I should. My turn comes next year.

Emily was told water or apple juice is all she can have for her surgery. Even though it is an outpatient thing it is still 8 hours she will be under. Stresses me to no end worrying about the poor kid. Life will be much better afterwards though.

So happy crappy morning David. I hope everything comes out OK. ;)
I schedule my colonoscopies for early, as in 7:00 or 8:00 AM.

Happy no longer Monday day.

Yeah, this is one of those times it would be really inconvenient if the doctor left something behind.

I check in for the procedure at 9:45 am tomorrow. This is number three for me, family history dictates and sucks.

I hope the daughter does just fine.

flipper35 01-23-2018 07:46 AM

Yeah, that really does suck. Sorry. You have had a bad run the last several months.

I am sure she will do fine, U of I children's hospital is one of the best. Still sucks.

Porsche-poor 01-23-2018 07:48 AM

The bad run is almost over......

Ask if the doctor is part extraterrestrial.

no

GH85Carrera 01-23-2018 07:59 AM

The BEST part of a colonoscopy is the doctor will tell you to fart as much as possible. He does not put a time limit on that. So you will be under doctors orders to fart as much as possible after the procedure. So let em rip! Fart proudly! ;)

Porsche-poor 01-23-2018 08:03 AM

the best part is just getting it over with.

RKDinOKC 01-23-2018 09:28 AM

The doctor that does mine drives a 928.

The first time told me about filling my colon with gas so they could see better. I asked if there was a spark would I explode. Him and the anesthetist both about fell out of their chairs laughing and saying no, it is inert gas. Evidently I was the first person that had asked that.

When he told me they would be making a video for future reference I asked if I could get a copy of it. He said no, the file would be too big. They did give me some screen shots of the chunk that had to be removed though. They said they woke me up enough to show me the problem and asked if I remembered. Said no and the anesthetist made the comment that I said I was cognizant. Said If I used the word cognizant I definitely was not awake.

Suffered from diverticulitis attacks for 2 years before they did the colonoscopy and then the resection of the 14 inches of colon that was prone to those attacks. It was bad enough that drinking the jug of juice the night before actually made me feel a lot batter.

Here and there, working like crazy.

Where'd I leave off? Sold the lotus, sold the old Rover, about to sell the Disco, bought another 240d and just bought an ML350.

So the British nightmares are gone. Back to German engineering.

Did you ever get to see a pirate?

flipper35 01-23-2018 01:29 PM

So is the second 240 a spare or are they both in good shape? Oh wait, they aren't British. Nevermind.

Yup, this truck is amazing. It's an 07, dealer maintained it's whole life and has every option available, it's a pretty wildly different experience than the Disco. I've got to replace the MAP sensor and line though.

No pirates, but plenty of stupid people.

Only one 240d right now. No clue how many miles (odo on those old benzs are known for breaking) but it was down to one glow plug and still starting so compression is obviously fine. Just did the plugs about a week ago.
