Dang Pete. It is 80 here.
Spring was March 20th! Maybe by the first day of summer on June, 21st you can have spring. I guess the snow is just job security for you! ;) |
Well Pete, at least you have something to do. And the cab is probably warm.

My empathy says "Brrrrrrr".
My Sister and her Husband used to move from Rolla Mo to Harlingen TX every winter to get away from the cold an snow. They were refered to as Snow Birds. |
Got a new bic lighter at the drive thru on the corner. The chick gave me a pink lighter, PINK! Ahhhhhh.
Asked for any other color because I didn't think I was masculine enough to pull off a pink lighter...She laughed and traded me an orange one. |
I like the High Life

Back when flying R/C most of the guys at the field drank Old Milwaukee. When they crashed they blamed it on having an OMG, Old Milwalkee Glitch.

Hey, Monday is over. Mrs Carrera is experiencing Ground hog day the movie. Every morning and every evening she gets outside and is spreading the pickup truck load of compost-goround cover in the gardens. And she is still planting stuff. I helped shovel out compost for a while last night.

You could put in one of those Japanese rock gardens where you just rake the gravel in pretty geometric shape around a coulple of big rocks. Those are supposed to be soothing unless there is someone or something that keeps messing up the designes. The it is maddenly frustrating and probably the reason for some of the Samaria feuds.

Morning all. off to play structural drafter.

This is the fully mature Sequoia tree... um dwarf Japanese Maple. It is supposed to get 8 feet across and 8 feet at maximum. It likely will be trimmed back more than that. There is enough space to get the mower around it and to work on the fence when needed. This is the far southwest corner of the yard. |
So, do the Japaneses call it a Maprl tree?

Arggggghhhhh!
I needed to ship an important little box with a special cable it it to my business partner. So I fired up the FedEx software on my computer. It asked if I wanted to update. I said no, I have seen how slow that is in the past. I enter all the address data, and the package data and the tracking info. Nope, screw you dummy, you have to install the update first. Why did it even give me an option. Ok. Install update. Nope, get that done after 20 min. Enter two pages of info, nope screw you dude, you have to restart the software to and update. Restart computer and reload software. It takes several minutes to load as they display REALLY HAPPY people using the FedEx shipping services. They all have huge grins. Ok, re-enter two pages again, nope ha-ha gotcha dude, you still need to update som software. WTF! :( After the 4th try I said screw it, and drive to the FedEx drop off place that I had to go to anyway. It is almost dead center of downtown of heavy traffic central for rush hour traffic. As I wait through 3 cycles of lights to turn left, along comes a fire truck. They can turn the lights green for them, and they screwed me of my left turn. So I wait one more rotation, turn left and get to the place. He entered the address, and bingo, it is shipped. I will figure out the software tomorrow. Grumble grumble hurumph hurumph. |
