If you are asking about my company, it is Central Mapping Solutions. We seem to get more hits on Facebook than the web site we have.

Porsche-poor 01-29-2019 07:42 AM

Porsche-poor 01-29-2019 07:45 AM

Like most every business, we just want more business, until we get so busy we can't handle it. Then we start hiring people to help. We have a few huge project on bid. One of them would require us to hire the software manufacturer themselves to process the imagery, as it would involve over a million images. We think the customer has no idea how much date they would have, and they would need a huge computer server and network to display it all. If it goes through I will be really surprised and then start figuring out how we do it.

Porsche-poor 01-29-2019 07:55 AM

one step at a time.

I have been digging into the events after Porsche Parade in Florida next year. Mainly the DE or track event. It looks like the track event is the day after Parade, and it will be at Sebring. I will have to stick around to do that. It will not be epic as Laguna Secca was, and it will be a million degrees like Roebling Road was, but it will be a good one for the bucket list.

RKDinOKC 01-30-2019 05:57 AM

Kinda wondered if the Sebring name part of the 71 Satellite Sebring Plus meant the Sebring track. The suspension was adjustable and it had some sort of fancy intake with 2 2 bbl carbs instead of a 4 bbl on the 383cuin motor, and the Slap Stik transmission.

Morning all. I'll wait and see when the next one is on the west coast and see if I still own the 911 by then.

Well, I think I just met an apace alien.

I went to do my annual blood test, pee test to keep my wife and doctor happy. The lady at the lab was attractive, intelligent, friendly, and personable. I told her my name and date of birth, and she pulled up the doctors orders for the blood and pee test, and handed me the little cup for me to pee in. I did my part in the privacy of the bathroom they have right there. I then sat down in the chair for the blood draw. She gloved up and then I knew for sure was was not an normal adult human female when she put her hand on my arm to prepare to stick the needle in my arm. Her hands were very warm! It was 24 degrees outside, and the office was heated to a comfortable room temperature, probably 72 degrees, yet she had warm hands. It was freaky. I don't think I have ever met a woman with warm hands. My wife's hands can be used as ice packs. I call them the cold hand of death. This lady or space alien or whatever had nice warm hands. I have donated many gallons of blood, been stuck many times by lady nurses. Never before has a woman had warm hands. It was freaky.

In 2020 it is supposed to be Palm Springs, CA. Nice and toasty, Summer in Palm Springs will be a hot time in the USA.

Porsche-poor 01-30-2019 06:42 AM

I'll see might drive the RDX down but not the 911 to far with no A/C

GH85Carrera 01-30-2019 06:52 AM

Just fix the AC. You have 18 months to get it fixed. It is nice to have a car you can drive in the heat.

Porsche-poor 01-30-2019 06:54 AM

I would have to replace the whole system. It was broken in several places so I removed it from the car. Takes up room in the garage in a box.

RKDinOKC 01-30-2019 07:00 AM

All of my Porsches have had A/C, including the 914. The 914 A/C was just crazy. Driving across Arkanas in August it was 110°F. With the AC set on the lowest fan speed and highest temperature it got so cold in the car I was actually shivering and had to roll the windows down.

Got out of a ticket in the 951S when it was real hot out. Passed one of the unmarked SUVs when they first started using them. Was going significantly faster. A/C had just gone out the day before and had windows down. When he asked why I was going so fast, said the car was overheating so I was going fast then putting it in neutral and coasting with the engine idling to cool it down some. Look at me funny then said "Just get out of here' and walked back to his SUV.

Porsche-poor 01-30-2019 07:21 AM

lets see the rear condenser had a broken pipe, one of the hoses from the rear to the front was warn thru part way due to tire rub, the front foot well fan and condenser looked like it had been dropped on by and elephant. One would have to start over. Its rarely hot enough here to need it.
