Just call up Griffiths, whip out your credit card, and spend a few weekends and a few grand, and you will be cool. Likely 3 grand or more.

The hoses need to be replaced, and likely most of the components, so it will be expensive. I replaced all the hoses,, evaporator, and the receiver-dryer always gets replaced anyway. Of course my system was "working" just pitiful. I was at the Fort Worth parade and it was hot outside, and not much better inside. That was when I decided it was time to upgrade. With out hesitation or doubt, I will say it it the BEST upgrade I have done to my 911 in the 23 years I have owned it. To be able to drive it on hot days and be comfortable it wonderful.

I am contemplating ordering the Griffiths upgraded evaporator blower, just to get more air blowing. It will be a hot one in Florida, and stupid hot in Palm Springs in July. 122 degrees is common out there.

Nhaaa. The Macan is a wonderful car. It is just not a sports car. It had 9,000 miles on it now. My 911 is at 169,000 and I will likely add another 5,000 this year.

I am hoping to get to drive mine more this summer but if not it might have to go.

I went to do my annual blood test, pee test to keep my wife and doctor happy. The lady at the lab was attractive, intelligent, friendly, and personable. I told her my name and date of birth, and she pulled up the doctors orders for the blood and pee test, and handed me the little cup for me to pee in. I did my part in the privacy of the bathroom they have right there. I then sat down in the chair for the blood draw. She gloved up and then I knew for sure was was not an normal adult human female when she put her hand on my arm to prepare to stick the needle in my arm. Her hands were very warm! It was 24 degrees outside, and the office was heated to a comfortable room temperature, probably 72 degrees, yet she had warm hands. It was freaky. I don't think I have ever met a woman with warm hands. My wife's hands can be used as ice packs. I call them the cold hand of death. This lady or space alien or whatever had nice warm hands. I have donated many gallons of blood, been stuck many times by lady nurses. Never before has a woman had warm hands. It was freaky.

You don't know where those hands have been.

Yeah, the Cayenne Turbo is pretty much as fast as my GTS. But the Cayenne is not a sports car either.

Do hear of guys that track and autocross them, I do not know why.
Autocrossed the BMW X3 I had once. Just wanted to familiarize myself with how it handled. It did get a good time though. Was not something I would consider as a fun track vehicle.

Hot pockets? No wait, that's a frozen food for the microwave

maybe she got all hot and bothered because you look so much like George Clooney?

Or toxic masculinity, no already mentioned hot pockets.

Welp,

Hammered a chicken breast till it was all the same thickness. Rubbed it with black pepper, a little garlic and a little chili powder. Then put in on the smoker grill loaded with a mix of hickory and cherry chips for 4 minutes a side. Chopped it up and mixed with mayo while melting some Monterey Jack and Cheddar on a couple slices of whole wheat bread in the toaster oven on broil so the back side of the bread was still soft.. Then made it into a proper sammuch with lettuce and tomato.

It was a yummy lunch!

She did put on fresh exam gloves before she touched me. Maybe she was afraid of getting my cooties!

Jim Richards 01-30-2019 12:35 PM

I thought only girls had cooties.

I am starting to plan for my trip to Florida next summer. A friend of mine has offered to let me stay the night in Big Pine Key with he had his wife. That is just 31 miles from Key West. I may do that depending on what the schedule for Parade is. I would miss something of Parade, but the Rally day is easy to skip for me. We always do tours on Rally day. This would just be a really long tour day on our own.

Now I gotta buy a new helmet since my news one is more that 10 years old. Gotta have a newer Snell rating. I really want to do the DE at Serbing. Not many folks get to do Laguna Secca and Sebring both.

Porsche-poor 01-31-2019 06:11 AM

Morning all. Don't even get me started again on the helmet issue.

GH85Carrera 01-31-2019 06:28 AM

It is all the lawyers, and the idiots that sue when their old helmet did not protect them like a new one would have.

Now the minimum is Snell SA, SAH, K or M 2005 or later.

Porsche-poor 01-31-2019 06:30 AM

Better still I can't wear one and they won't even let me do a drivers skills day without one. Last guy I talked to got an ear full about how I wear one to drive my car to work everyday.
