Yikes on the suit. I think I did the pastel colored sport coat once for a dance in high school.

Thanks guys. My current boss has driven 3 people out of the department and I am about to be the 4th. The guy is the poster child for Toxic Boss'

In my high school yearbook photo I was leisure suit Larry, full on flower print shirt with big blue lapels on the jacket and platform shoes.

For my job in photography I often had to get "dressed up" more than jeans and polo shirt. So that meant slacks. There was a time it was almost impossible to buy a normal pair of khaki slacks or trousers. All of the men's fashions were idiotic colors and patterns. And the real kicker that I hated, HUGE wide cuffs. It was a horrible time for fashion for men. I really did enjoy the era of miniskirts (on the girls!!) when I was in high school. No boy would dare to wear a skirt back then. Now days I guess it is quite different. The girls HAD to wear skirts, and the boys jeans. They felt it was unfair, but I did not mind at all.

I consider it a good year if I only have to wear my tux twice.

Ha, I wore a tux for my brother's wedding 41 years ago. Not since. Never again. I wore a suit for my wedding, and I wore it a handful of times since. Lets just say it ain't ever gonna wear out. I wore it sans tie to my dad's funeral. Since he was a retired officer it was a full military formal funeral with the honor guard, and 21 gun salute.

Porsche-poor 02-20-2019 11:57 AM

Lucky you. I have two events a year min some times 3-4 that a tux is required.

That would be the one but with a vet you can have the local shop work on it and not pay Ferrari prices.

And look just as cool!

We had a few inches of blowing white crap. I don't mind until it starts forming big drifts. The wife had to take the oldest up for ACT testing since we didn't want her driving in this crap just yet. She said the drifts were 5' high in the oncoming traffic lane. When I left for work it was freezing on the windshield until the truck got good and warm to keep up. Now it is above freezing and lots of dripping water from the rooftops everywhere since the rain gutters are full. 40* and rain for the weekend. Woo hoo! Or not.

Andy, good luck!

Aw man. Somedays I think the female population has rubbed off on me. I keep changing what I want for the Cobra. I really like this color.

Good Luck Andy.

We made it into the 50s today. Sunny and nice out.

My computer is just like Tabs's jeans, dragon ass. The CPU has been at 50 to 70% utilization, the SSD drive is at 1 or 2% and the "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti founder edition" video card at 15 to 20% Maybe if it has a longer name the video card would be faster. the memory is at 40 to 60% of the 32 Gig of RAM utilization. And it still takes an hour to save the file, and then more time to cut it up, and edit it, and put it back together.

If I did this more often I would get a i8 32 core CPU and faster memory and of course an all new computer.

Buy whatever car you want and have it wrapped.

flipper35 02-20-2019 12:31 PM

This is colors for the Cobra. It is currently flat black so I need to cover it with something. The wrap will last 5 years or so. The paints will last much better if they aren't candy. The Jeep above is Intruder Purple and the cost of the paint will be similar to the cost of a wrap. The paint labor and wrap labor are dissimilar though.

If I wrap it will be the 3M Wicked color a few pages back. The Viper is a 3 stage pearl, the Jeep is a two stage pearl. I am hesitant to wrap it and have to go through all of it again in a few years.

Porsche-poor 02-20-2019 12:45 PM

Might just be the pictures but I think I like the deeper color on the Jeep.

flipper35 02-20-2019 12:57 PM

Me too. The Viper is a pearl over a gray base. If i did the Cobra I would do the pearl over a black base and mask the stripes leaving the pearl off that part so the stripes would be black only and the rest black with purple pearl.

Jim Richards 02-20-2019 01:02 PM

It's a nice color, Brent. But I like this Lotus aubergine metallic color a bit more. Food for thought?

I have seen a few decent wraps on cars. I know one guy that bought a new 911. It was a white car that he had wrapped in Gulf Blue with the orange stripe. I knew in a few years it would need to be re-done, and when it did, he was happy to have the white car again. Most everyone thought he had a new car.

pete3799 02-20-2019 01:22 PM

Good luck Andy.

3 to 5 inches for tonight/tomorrow possibly changing to freezing rain for a bit.

Towed one of the 10 wheeler plow trucks to Kenworth Monday. Emissions related of course.
Was hopping to have it back today but they just called me at home and said it needs a new control box for the DEF system. Part will be in around 10 tomorrow. Got to love these new "fuel efficient" trucks.

Wildest sport coat I had, 1968

Pete, I can see why there is a market for new cabs with "old" engines.

Jim, I like that color as well and if I ever bought an Elise it would be that or Yellow. For the Cobra I was looking for darker.
